Set an alert in an app that supports XRP or the XRP trading pair you follow, then make sure notifications are allowed in both the app and your phone, browser, or computer settings. Alerts can tell you when a price condition is met; they do not place a buy or sell order. The steps below cover Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken, though available pairs and features can vary by region and app version.
Choose a trigger that answers the question you have
A simple alert can notify you when XRP moves above or below a target price. Some platforms also offer percentage-change conditions. Before saving one, check that you selected the XRP asset or the specific XRP trading pair you want; the app may offer different markets, and availability is not universal.
Use the platform’s own interface to choose the condition and notification channel. After saving, confirm that alerts are enabled in the app and that your device or browser permits notifications. A saved alert may not reach you if either level blocks delivery.
Set an XRP alert in Coinbase
- Search for and select the cryptocurrency in the Coinbase mobile app, then add it to your watchlist.
- Tap the bell-plus icon and choose to add an alert.
- Choose whether the price should move above or below your target, enter the target, and save.
- To choose delivery channels, open Account & Settings and then Notification Settings. Enable the relevant push, in-app, and/or email toggles for custom alerts.
Coinbase says only assets added to your watchlist send alerts. Its help page describes them as notifications that an asset has reached a certain price and says they do not place an order. Coinbase price-alert instructions.

Set an XRP alert in Binance
Binance says its app alert feature is available in Binance Pro. Select the XRP market or pair you want, since the alert applies to the chosen market.
- In the app, open Markets and search for the desired pair.
- Select the alert icon, choose an alert type, set the target and frequency, then create the alert.
- Allow Binance app notifications in your phone settings so the alert can reach you.
Binance documents conditions for reaching a price, moving above or dropping to a price, percentage change over or under a threshold, and 24-hour percentage change over or down. Its support page specifies a maximum of 10 alerts per pair and 50 total, with each alert valid for 90 days. Review and refresh alerts before they expire. Binance alert setup and limits.

On Binance desktop, use the Alerts icon, choose Create Alert, then select the market or pair and condition. Enable desktop notifications in your system settings.

In Kraken’s web Advanced view, use the Alerts widget behind the Order form, or add it through Layouts & widgets. Enable browser notifications if you want alerts delivered that way. See Kraken’s market-alert instructions.

Kraken Pro mobile
Enable push notifications in both your device settings and the Kraken Pro app. Open the alert modal from the Markets bell, or long-press an open order or market. Create a new alert, select XRP, set the trigger parameters, and adjust the target. Kraken’s XRP price page also describes this mobile alert flow.

Check delivery and keep alerts useful
- Verify permissions at both levels. Check the app’s notification settings and your phone, desktop, or browser permissions.
- Review the selected market. Confirm the alert is for the XRP asset or XRP pair you intend to monitor.
- Keep expiry and capacity in mind. The 10-per-pair, 50-total, 90-day limits apply to Binance’s documented feature, not necessarily to other services.
- Treat an alert as a prompt. It notifies you of a condition; it does not automatically trade XRP.
