For the documented native USDC route, bridge USDC on Arbitrum to Hyperliquid and keep Arbitrum ETH available to pay the deposit gas. Start the transaction from Hyperliquid’s current Deposit flow, verify the token, network and destination in your wallet, and stop if any detail differs. Wrong-asset or wrong-network transfers can fail, and recovery is not assured.
Use the correct network and token for a USDC deposit
Hyperliquid’s onboarding guide documents its native USDC bridge path between Hyperliquid and Arbitrum. In that flow, you need USDC on Arbitrum and ETH on Arbitrum for deposit gas. Hyperliquid says trading itself does not cost gas; that does not remove the need for ETH to submit the deposit transaction.
- Open the official Hyperliquid trading interface and choose Deposit. Initiate the deposit from its current flow rather than relying on an address copied from an old article, message or saved note.
- Check that the live instructions specify USDC and Arbitrum. Confirm your wallet is connected to the expected account and network.
- Make sure the wallet has enough Arbitrum ETH for gas. The amount needed can depend on current network conditions and the transaction.
- Before signing, inspect the transaction details shown by your wallet and compare the asset, network and destination with the official deposit flow. If they do not match or are unclear, do not approve.
- After submitting, keep the transaction hash and check the deposit status in Hyperliquid. A wallet confirmation alone does not establish that the funds have arrived and been credited.
Hyperliquid’s support material describes wrong-asset and wrong-network deposits that fail and may not be recoverable. If your screen shows a different token, chain or destination from the current instructions, pause rather than trying to infer what the transaction will do.
Choose an onward route by checking its live details
If your USDC is not already on Arbitrum, Hyperliquid’s onboarding guide names Arbitrum Bridge, deBridge, Mayan, Across, Router Nitro, Jumper, Synapse and Relay as possible ways to move funds to Arbitrum. It also says funds may be moved directly from a centralized exchange. This list is not a ranking or endorsement, and the guide does not provide a current side-by-side comparison.

Before using any route, check its current support for your origin network, destination network, token and token form. Compare the route presented in the service, its displayed fee and estimated arrival time, and the destination address and transaction details before confirming. Check the provider’s current support and recovery information, too. Do not assume that a service supports a particular route simply because it appears in a general list.
A small test transfer can limit the amount exposed to an address or setup mistake, but only consider one when the route’s fees and minimums make it sensible. It does not prove that a later, larger transfer will be safe or recoverable.

Distinguish an internal Send from a withdrawal
Hyperliquid Support explains that Send transfers funds to another account on the Hyperliquid blockchain; it is not the route for withdrawing to another blockchain. A withdrawal should be recorded as Withdrawal.
If funds appear to be missing
- Open the Portfolio page and review the Deposits & Withdrawals table. Confirm which action was recorded and inspect its status and transaction details.
- If the entry is a pending withdrawal, use the estimate in the withdrawal modal as your guide and allow for possible network congestion. The estimate is not a guaranteed completion time.
- If the entry is marked complete, open its linked explorer entry and check the destination address and transaction. Compare them with the address you intended to use.
Hyperliquid’s API documentation describes a withdrawal request as one that L1 validators sign and send to the bridge contract. It lists a $1 fee and approximately five minutes for finalization “at the time of this writing”; these are documentation values, not guarantees, and may change. Use the fee and status currently shown in the withdrawal interface rather than assuming those figures apply to your transaction.

Know the limits of wrong-network recovery
Do not apply the Arbitrum USDC instructions to every deposit flow. Hyperliquid’s Ethereum-network deposit support page says its Ethereum address can receive only ETH or ENA on Ethereum, and gives USDC on Ethereum and ETH on Arbitrum as examples of deposits that fail. It says some mistaken transfers may be eligible for a Unit revert feature, but unsupported assets or chains may not currently be recoverable. Do not treat the possibility of a revert as a recovery promise.
That Ethereum deposit flow has minimums of 0.007 ETH and 120 ENA; Hyperliquid Support says deposits below those amounts result in loss of funds. Those minimums apply to the page’s Ethereum deposit process, not to the Arbitrum USDC route.

Protect the wallet and its recovery phrase
Hyperliquid’s onboarding guide warns that anyone with access to your wallet password or seed phrase can access funds, and recommends keeping the seed phrase in a safe physical location. Never share the phrase with someone claiming they need it to help process a deposit or withdrawal.
A hardware wallet is an optional way to hold wallet keys, not a guarantee against loss. It does not prevent a wrong-network transfer or make an unsafe transaction approval safe; assess the transaction details before signing regardless of wallet type.

If the wallet may be compromised
Hyperliquid Support says unauthorized transactions, missing funds or an unknown multisig may indicate compromise. Its guidance is to stop using the address, treat it as unsafe, create a new wallet with a trusted wallet provider and transfer remaining funds to the new address, including applicable HyperEVM assets. Moving funds from an address that may be compromised can itself involve risk; the guidance does not promise recovery.
Understand what the bridge audit listing means
Hyperliquid’s audit index says the bridge contract has been audited by Zellic and links to two reports. That establishes the listed audit information, not that funds cannot be lost or that the deployed code has no defects. It also does not establish that every later change or any third-party route is covered. Treat an audit listing as limited information about review, not as a guarantee of safety.
