Apple does not currently offer a native Bitcoin or cryptocurrency checkout in the United States. Apple’s listed U.S. payment methods include Apple Account balance, Apple Card, Apple Cash, Apple Pay, eligible credit and debit cards, and PayPal—not Bitcoin or another crypto wallet (Apple payment methods). The practical route is to exchange crypto for a region-compatible Apple Gift Card through a reputable intermediary, redeem the code to your Apple Account, and then pay Apple with the resulting balance.

What Apple actually accepts
Apple’s U.S. payment documentation does not list Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, or any other cryptocurrency as a direct payment method. Apple’s online shopping guidance likewise directs customers to its supported payment methods rather than to crypto checkout (Apple payment methods; Apple Shopping Help).
Apple Pay is not native crypto acceptance. Apple Pay is a payment interface for eligible cards and accounts. If a crypto service issues a debit or prepaid card that the issuer and Apple Pay support, Apple may receive a normal card-network transaction after the provider converts or settles the crypto. The crypto conversion is performed by the card provider, not Apple (Apple Pay payment-platform documentation).

The most practical route: a crypto-funded Apple Gift Card
For a U.S. buyer who wants to shop through Apple, the simplest workaround is:
- Choose a U.S. Apple Gift Card from a crypto gift-card marketplace.
- Pay the marketplace with a supported cryptocurrency and network.
- Receive the electronic code by email or in the marketplace account.

- Product and stock: Confirm that the Apple Store serving your billing and shipping destination has the desired configuration available.
- Total cost: Review the face value, intermediary markup, blockchain fee, wallet fee, and any conversion spread before paying.
- Payment compatibility: Verify the exact token, network, minimum amount, invoice expiry, and confirmation requirement shown at checkout.
- Delivery details: Double-check the email address and the Apple Account into which you intend to redeem the code.
- Irreversibility: An on-chain transfer is generally difficult or impossible to reverse, and a redeemed gift-card code may not be recoverable.
Step-by-step: buy an Apple product with crypto
1. Open the intermediary’s official Apple Gift Card page
Use the provider’s official U.S. listing rather than a social-media seller, peer-to-peer code seller, or anonymous “discount” offer. 2. Compare face value with the amount charged
Prices are dynamic. On the retrieved Bitrefill page, a $20 card was displayed at $20.20 and a $100 card at $100.99. Those are observed examples, not guaranteed rates; denomination, asset, network, promotion, jurisdiction, and time can change the price (Bitrefill Apple Gift Card page).
Calculate the intermediary markup as:
(amount paid − gift-card face value) ÷ face value × 100

Then add the blockchain network fee and any exchange or wallet fee. A small percentage becomes significant on a large Mac or iPhone purchase.
3. Select the asset and network
The retrieved U.S. catalog listed Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, Ethereum, USDT, USDC, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, and other options, but availability can vary by checkout session and jurisdiction (Bitrefill U.S. catalog; Apple Gift Card page).

5. Redeem the code to the correct Apple Account
Use Apple’s official redemption page, such as apple.com/redeem, or the redeem control in the App Store or Apple Account interface:
- Sign in to the Apple Account you will use for the purchase.

Other ways to spend crypto on Apple products
Crypto-linked debit or prepaid card
If you already have a legitimate crypto-linked card, you may be able to enter it as a normal card or add it to Apple Pay. Availability depends on the issuer’s country coverage, identity verification, Apple Pay eligibility, merchant-category controls, spending limits, and fees. This remains a card transaction, not Bitcoin checkout at Apple. Because these terms change, verify the issuer’s current U.S. availability and fee schedule before transferring funds.
Gift card for another retailer
A crypto marketplace may offer cards for an electronics retailer that sells Apple hardware (Bitrefill U.S. gift-card catalog). Treat this route as conditional and check the live service screen.
Security, scams, and irreversible mistakes
Apple warns that gift cards are for Apple products and services, not taxes, bills, government agencies, debt collectors, prizes, technical-support fees, or payments to strangers. Never disclose a redemption code to someone you do not know (Apple gift-card scam guidance).

What to do when something goes wrong
The code has not arrived
- Check spam, promotions, and filtered folders.
- Review the intermediary’s order page.
- Confirm blockchain confirmations, network, and amount.
- Contact the intermediary through its official support channel with the order number and transaction ID.
- Do not pay a second time simply because delivery is delayed.
Apple rejects the code
Possible causes include a country mismatch, typographical error, previous redemption, incomplete payment confirmation, fraud screening, an account problem, or an invalid code from the intermediary. Preserve the receipt, order record, email headers, and transaction data, then contact the seller and Apple Support. Do not assume Apple will replace every third-party code.

You sent the wrong token or network
Contact the intermediary immediately, but recovery may be impossible. Do not send additional crypto to “unlock” or “recover” the transfer unless the request is independently verified. Never share a seed phrase or private key.
The Apple balance is insufficient
Check the balance before checkout. If Apple requests another payment method, use only a method displayed by Apple and confirm the applicable split-payment behavior for your specific store, product, account, and country.

The Apple product is returned
Apple’s product-return process is separate from the crypto transaction used to acquire the gift card. Any resulting Apple credit or refund follows Apple’s applicable policy; it is not an automatic return of the original cryptocurrency.

Spending crypto to obtain an Apple Gift Card may therefore be a disposition of the crypto.
