How to get a free Amazon Prime trial in India
Amazon India generally offers a 30-day trial when the offer is displayed for your account. Eligibility is account-specific; prior Prime use, an earlier trial, account history or a limited promotion can prevent the offer from appearing.

Start at Amazon.in/prime. Amazon India’s signup guidance says the membership converts to a paid plan automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends. Its article lists price signals of ₹1,499 per year, ₹599 for three months and from ₹299 per month, but the live checkout page is authoritative because prices and offers change. Activation steps
- Open https://www.amazon.in/prime and sign in, or create an Amazon account.
- Select Try Prime Free or Start your 30-day free trial if Amazon shows it.
- Enter the billing and payment information requested at checkout.
- Before confirming, note the displayed trial end date and renewal amount.
- Open your Prime membership controls after signup and save the confirmation email.
If the button is missing, do not switch to Amazon.com or create deceptive duplicate accounts. Check the Prime page again later, contact Amazon support, or use non-Prime delivery options.

How to get a free Amazon Prime trial in the U.S.
Eligible U.S. accounts may receive a standard 30-day trial. Go to Amazon.com/prime, choose Try Prime and select the free-trial option if it appears. Amazon’s U.S. signup article says the selected payment method is charged automatically after the trial unless you cancel. Longer or discounted free options in the U.S.
Prime for Young Adults
Eligible people aged 18–24 and eligible higher-education students can receive six months at $0 through Amazon’s U.S. Prime for Young Adults program. Afterward, Amazon’s current explanation lists $7.49 per month or $69 per year. Verification may involve a driver’s license, passport, identity document, .edu address or other proof of enrollment, depending on the prompts.

Prime Access
Qualifying U.S. customers can receive a 30-day trial through Prime Access and then pay a discounted $6.99 per month, according to Amazon’s official explanation. Eligibility can be established through benefits or income verification. Listed programs include SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, SSI, Direct Express, TANF, the National School Lunch Program, LIHEAP and certain tribal assistance programs.

Apply at https://www.amazon.com/qualify. You may need to upload an official document and provide a payment method. The qualifying benefit does not pay the Prime bill; it establishes eligibility for the discounted membership.

Why an India account cannot substitute for U.S. Prime
Amazon.in and Amazon.com memberships are separate. Delivery benefits, streaming catalogs, prices, billing and eligibility are tied to the marketplace where you enroll. A U.S. trial does not provide Prime delivery on Amazon.in, and an India membership does not automatically provide U.S. Prime shopping benefits.
Prime for Young Adults and Prime Access are documented U.S. programs. An India-based customer should use the India Prime page and should not expect a U.S. benefit to activate with an Indian marketplace account, U.S.-only assistance or a VPN.

How to avoid an accidental charge
- Start only after checking the exact expiration date shown by Amazon.
- Immediately open the account’s Prime membership settings (the wording can differ between the app, mobile browser and desktop site).
- Find the renewal or cancellation controls and read the final screen carefully.
- If Amazon offers a choice between ending benefits now and disabling future renewal, choose the option that matches your needs; do not assume cancellation always preserves access.
- Save the confirmation email or take a screenshot.
- Check the account and payment statement before the stated renewal date.
Amazon distinguishes Prime membership trials from Prime Video and Prime Video channel trials. A video-only offer may not include Prime delivery or the full shopping membership; catalog availability also differs by country. See Amazon’s trial documentation.
What does not count as legitimate free Prime
- Fake student documents or altered benefit records: these can cause rejection, account action or legal problems.
- VPN or country switching: it does not turn an India membership into U.S. Prime or establish eligibility.
- Trial farming with fabricated accounts: repeatedly opening accounts to obtain offers can violate account rules and create billing issues.
- Modified apps, leaked codes and “lifetime Prime” vouchers: treat them as scams unless the offer appears on an official Amazon page, Amazon message or clearly identified authorized partner page.
- Sharing credentials with strangers: never provide an Amazon password, one-time code, card PIN or government-benefit credentials to an intermediary.

- Check the correct country’s Prime page for an account-specific or seasonal promotion.
- Compare one month of Prime with the delivery fees and entertainment value you actually expect to use.
- Use free-shipping thresholds or non-Prime delivery where available.
- For video only, compare legitimate free streaming services or a separately displayed Prime Video offer.
- In the U.S., check Prime for Young Adults first if you are 18–24 or an eligible student, and check Prime Access if you receive a listed benefit or pass income verification.
- Ask an authorized household member whether Amazon’s current household-sharing options apply to your account and location; this is not the same as owning a free personal membership.
