Yes, Microsoft Rewards can sometimes be converted into Amazon gift cards. You earn Microsoft Rewards points through eligible Bing searches, Microsoft Edge activities, daily dashboard offers and other Microsoft services, then exchange points for rewards shown in your account’s catalog.

How the Bing-to-Amazon system works
Microsoft Rewards is a free loyalty program attached to a Microsoft account. It is separate from Amazon’s shopping rewards and credit-card programs. Points have no cash value; Microsoft controls both the activities that earn them and the rewards available in each market.
- Sign in to a Microsoft account.
- Complete eligible activities, such as normal Bing searches, dashboard quizzes or Edge-related offers.
- Accumulate points in the Rewards balance.
- Open Redeem and check whether an Amazon gift card is listed for your account and region.
- If available, redeem the denomination shown and retrieve the delivery code or link from your order details.
Microsoft says it usually takes about 5,000 points to redeem something worth $5, but that is an approximate program-wide benchmark. The denomination and cost displayed in your catalog control the transaction: Microsoft’s earning guidance.

Set up Microsoft Rewards
- Create or sign in to a free account at account.microsoft.com.
- Open rewards.microsoft.com and review the Earn and Redeem sections.
- Confirm that your profile information and home region are accurate. Rewards catalogs and earning methods differ by market.
- Install Microsoft Edge or the Bing mobile app only if they suit your normal browsing and search habits.
There is no paid membership requirement. Microsoft’s program terms and eligibility can change, so follow the activities currently displayed for your account.
Earn points with Bing searches
Sign in to the Microsoft account linked to Rewards, then use Bing for genuine searches you would make anyway. Microsoft’s current FAQ describes up to 10 qualifying searches per day for Level 1 and up to 30 for Level 2, but limits can vary by country, account, level or program redesign.

- Search naturally for useful information; do not generate meaningless repeated queries.
- Do not use bots, macros, scripts, emulators or automated search tools.
- Remember that Bing limits and qualifying methods are regional and can change.
Manufacturing searches for points can fail to credit and may trigger enforcement. Rewards are promotional points, not wages or cash earnings.
Use Edge without expecting unlimited bonus points
Microsoft says eligible activity in Edge or the Edge app may provide additional Rewards opportunities. Edge is the browser; Bing is the search service. Opening pages in Edge does not automatically earn points for every view, and there is no reliable universal “Edge points” amount to quote.

- Open the Rewards dashboard and complete any Edge-specific card that is visibly offered.
- Use Bing in Edge normally if you want Bing search credits.
- Check the dashboard for current limits and labels instead of relying on old extension or menu instructions.
If your account shows no Edge activity, installing Edge solely for speculative points may not be worthwhile.
Other legitimate ways to build the balance

- Bing searches in the mobile app, where available.
- Eligible Microsoft Store purchases you already planned to make.
- Xbox activities in markets and accounts where they are offered.
- Personal Rewards points for eligible work searches when an organization has enabled the feature: Microsoft’s work-search guidance.
Do not buy products merely to chase points. Purchases are sensible only when they already fit your budget and plans.
Check whether Amazon is available
- Sign in to the account that earned the points.
- Open Microsoft Rewards and select Redeem.
- Browse or search the gift-card catalog for an Amazon-branded reward.
- Read the denomination, point cost, region, terms and stock status.
- Proceed only when the Amazon offer is visible for your account.

Redeem points and retrieve the reward
- Select the Amazon denomination shown in Redeem.
- Review the point charge and terms, then choose the redemption button.
- Complete any requested verification. Microsoft may offer SMS to a mobile or landline number, or QR-code verification through the Bing app. VoIP numbers are not accepted for the relevant process.
- Open Order history, choose the order and select Order details to find the code, link or delivery instructions. Microsoft’s account guidance explains this retrieval path: learn about Microsoft Rewards.
- Follow Microsoft’s link or copy the code into Amazon’s official gift-card area at amazon.com/gift-cards. Confirm that the balance reaches the intended Amazon account and keep the order record until it does.
Delivery format and timing can differ by reward, so do not assume every order is an instant email or uses the same kind of code.
Value, timing and limitations
Microsoft’s approximate 5,000-points-for-$5 statement is useful for setting expectations, not for calculating a guaranteed Amazon rate. Your time to a gift card depends on daily search limits, your Rewards level, available activities, region, occasional offers and whether you make qualifying purchases. No reliable hourly earnings figure is established.
Points reportedly expire after 12 months without earning activity under Microsoft’s support guidance. Check the current terms shown in your account, particularly if you plan to save for a larger denomination.
Troubleshoot common problems

Rules that protect your account
- Do not use VPNs or proxies to earn or redeem in another market.
- Do not run bots, macros, emulators, scripts or automated searches.
- Use accurate account information.
- Do not maintain multiple accounts as a points loophole.
- Do not earn from multiple countries or attempt cross-region redemption.

Is this method worth it?
For someone who already uses Bing, Edge or Microsoft services, Rewards can turn routine activity into a modest, legitimate benefit without a subscription fee. It is a poor fit if you need guaranteed cash, predictable income or an Amazon card immediately: earnings are capped, catalog availability changes and verification can be required.
