For most Stripe account questions, sign in to your Stripe Dashboard and contact support through its support flow. Stripe directs Express users to Express support, while users with Custom accounts managed by a platform should contact that platform. If you already have a case, continue it in the Dashboard Support Centre.
Choose the right Stripe contact route
| Your account or question | Where to go |
|---|---|
| Standard Stripe account | Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard and use its support flow to submit a request. Stripe’s support guidance says signing in helps identify the account and authenticate you. |
| Stripe Express account | Use Stripe Express support. |
| Stripe Custom account managed through a platform | Contact the platform directly for account or Dashboard assistance. Stripe explains this distinction in its third-party platform FAQ. |
| An open Stripe support request | In your Dashboard, open Help (the question-mark icon), choose Support Centre, then open the case to reply or provide requested files. Stripe’s case instructions cover active and closed requests. |
| A developer question for peers | Use Stripe’s developer Discord for community discussion. Keep private account details in authenticated support. |
Contact support from the Stripe Dashboard
- Sign in to the Dashboard. This lets Stripe associate your request with the account and authenticate you.
- Open the support flow. Follow the support option presented in the Dashboard and select the issue that best matches your question.
- Explain the issue and include relevant identifiers. For example, Stripe cites charge IDs beginning
ch_orpy_and transfer IDs beginningtr_. Add the date, amount, and what you expected to happen when useful. - Choose an available contact option and submit. Stripe’s support page advertises chat and email, and lists English support as available 24/7. The contact choices presented can depend on your account, location, language, and issue.
What to include—and what not to send
Give support enough context to locate the transaction or account activity: describe what happened, when it happened, and what you need help resolving. Include relevant Stripe identifiers rather than sensitive payment credentials.
- Share relevant Stripe IDs, such as a charge or transfer ID.
- Never send a full card number or CVC.
- For account-specific issues, use signed-in support rather than posting account information in a developer community.
Reply to an existing support case
To continue a request, sign in to the Dashboard, click the question-mark Help icon, and select Support Centre. Open the relevant case to read the conversation, respond, or upload files Stripe requested. The Support Centre also shows active and closed cases.
Can you call Stripe?
Stripe’s official contact guidance directs standard account holders to the signed-in Dashboard support flow; the official material cited here does not establish a general public phone number for account support. Avoid relying on phone numbers from unverified third-party listings. Express and Custom users should use the routes for their account type above.
