Book through the program that holds your points
Aeroméxico Rewards is the program through which you redeem Aeroméxico Rewards points, even when another SkyTeam airline operates the flight. SkyTeam’s general guidance likewise directs members to book awards through the frequent-flyer program where their miles are held. That alliance guidance does not guarantee a particular Aeroméxico Rewards itinerary or price.
How to search and redeem online
- Sign in to your Aeroméxico Rewards account.
- Open Use, then Buy your Trip and Flights, or use the booking link listed in the program’s terms.
- Enter your origin, destination and passenger count, then search for available awards.
- Review the itinerary and confirm the points price, cash taxes and charges before completing the redemption. The terms describe paying the applicable taxes in the same payment as the points redemption.
The program’s terms also list telephone and Aeroméxico ticket offices as redemption channels. For a SkyTeam or affiliated-airline booking requested by phone or at a ticket office, Aeroméxico Rewards recommends making the request at least seven business days before departure. This is a recommendation, not a universal cutoff, and the booking remains subject to availability. See Aeroméxico Rewards’ terms.
What affects availability and the points price?
Classic Aeroméxico Rewards Tickets
The terms describe an Aeroméxico Rewards Ticket as a ticket without fare cost, with controlled availability influenced by factors such as demand, time, route and date. The points required for a one-way trip are fixed according to a published table. The terms allow these reward tickets to be operated by Aeroméxico and SkyTeam or other listed partner airlines, but they do not promise that seats will be available on a particular flight.

Dynamic-Fare Aeroméxico Rewards Tickets
A separate dynamic-fare product converts public fares into points. The points needed depend on the operating airline’s fare rules and demand. The terms list Aeroméxico, Aeroméxico Connect, Delta, KLM and Air France as operators for this option. That operator list belongs to the dynamic-fare product; it should not be treated as a complete list of carriers eligible for classic partner awards.
Mixed-carrier itineraries
Do not assume that a trip combining airlines will appear online or cost the same as a single-carrier award. SkyTeam notes that frequent-flyer program rules differ, that some programs may restrict mixed-carrier redemptions or require more miles, and that mixed itineraries often need a phone call because not every combination is bookable online. These are alliance-level cautions, not a guarantee that Aeroméxico Rewards will accept a particular combination. See the SkyTeam FAQ.

Budget for cash charges as well as points
Taxes and service charges are paid in money, not points. The Aeroméxico Rewards terms page displays an issuance charge of MXN 323 for web bookings and MXN 640 for other channels. Because those amounts appear on the program’s Business/corporate site and may change, their applicability to an individual member or itinerary is not established; confirm the charges shown for your own booking before redeeming.
Compare options before you confirm
If you find more than one workable award, compare the complete cost and practical terms rather than choosing only by points price:

The operating airline provides the flight service. For flight-operation matters, Aeroméxico Rewards’ terms direct members to the carrier; check both the program’s redemption rules and the operating airline’s information before finalizing plans.

Aeroméxico Rewards publishes distinct terms for a SkyTeam round-the-world award. Those terms specify three to thirteen stopovers, define a stopover as a stay longer than 24 hours, and require transatlantic and transpacific flights plus a transcontinental flight between specified regions. Participating-airline space is subject to availability and confirmation; the ticket is valid for one year from issue and is not endorsable. These conditions apply to that special award, not ordinary partner redemptions. Check the current Aeroméxico Rewards terms if planning one.
