To use Apple’s education discount in India, open the Apple India Education Store, verify your student or educator status through UNiDAYS, and purchase an eligible product at the education price shown at checkout. Parents buying for an eligible tertiary student may also qualify. Apple does not offer one universal student-discount percentage: the saving depends on the product, configuration and any temporary promotion.
What Apple’s student discount means in India
Apple calls the regular benefit Education Pricing. It is an ongoing, product-specific price in the India Education Store rather than a flat reduction applied to every Apple product.
Apple also runs separate, time-limited student promotions. These can add a transaction-level saving or bundle an accessory with a qualifying Mac or iPad. They have their own dates, product lists, payment restrictions and return rules. Do not assume that a temporary promotion, AppleCare+ saving, Apple Music student plan or another student benefit is part of the standard Education Pricing discount.
On August 18, 2026, Apple’s India Education Store displayed prices including MacBook Neo from ₹69,900, iPad from ₹47,900, Mac mini from ₹82,900 and iPad mini from ₹63,900. The same page showed MacBook Air from ₹137,900, MacBook Pro from ₹227,900, iPad Air from ₹83,900 and iPad Pro from ₹127,900. These are dated examples, not guaranteed current prices; check the live store before ordering.

Apple’s Education Store also advertises savings of up to 10% on AppleCare+ for eligible students and educators buying protection for a Mac or iPad. The exact price appears during checkout.
Who is eligible?
Apple’s formal Education Store terms use the broader phrase “tertiary education institution.” Its payment-help page uses “current and newly accepted college students.” Read together, the eligible individual categories are:
- Current tertiary students enrolled at an Indian college or other qualifying higher-education institution.
- Newly accepted students who have been admitted but may not yet have started classes.
- Parents purchasing for an eligible tertiary student.
- Employees of public or private education institutions, including teachers and staff.
The benefit is for personal purchases. Apple’s terms exclude institutional procurement, enterprise buying and resale, and annual quantity limits apply. A school-age student is not automatically covered by the tertiary-education wording; a parent may be eligible when buying for a qualifying tertiary student.
Apple’s formal terms control if their simplified help wording and the detailed terms appear different. Read the Education Store shopping terms for the current eligibility language.
What you need for UNiDAYS verification
Apple requires UNiDAYS verification before an education-price order can be completed, online or in an Apple Store. A college email address can help but does not guarantee approval.

- An Apple Account, which you can use before checkout; Apple says a successful sign-in can keep your verification valid for one year.
- Your institution’s exact name and your matching personal details.
- An institutional email address, if one is available.
- A current student ID, enrollment information, admission or acceptance document, or employment evidence available in case UNiDAYS requests supporting proof.
UNiDAYS decides what evidence is accepted for the particular applicant. Do not assume that one specific document will always pass, and do not submit false or outdated information.
How to claim the discount online
- Open the Apple India Education Store.
- Select a product that displays Education Pricing and choose its model, storage, colour and connectivity configuration.
- Sign in with your Apple Account if possible.
- Complete UNiDAYS verification when Apple prompts you.
- Check the product page or cart to confirm that the education price is displayed.
- If a live limited-time promotion applies, add its qualifying promotion product in the same transaction.
- Review the cart for the correct price, configuration, promotion item, any upgrade charge and delivery address in India.
- Choose an available payment method and complete the order. Save the confirmation, invoice and verification emails.
Use the Indian Education Store, not the US, UK or another country’s storefront. Apple says special education pricing is tied to the customer’s country or region-specific store.
How to buy with Education Pricing in an Apple Store
- Visit an Apple Store in India and ask for Education Pricing.
- Complete UNiDAYS verification online or with the representative’s assistance.
- Bring enrollment, admission or employment proof in case additional evidence is requested.
- Confirm the education price before paying.
- If a promotion is available, make sure the qualifying device and promotion product are in one transaction.
- Check the receipt before leaving.
Apple’s payment help says education eligibility can be verified in-store. The promotion terms for the 2026 offer also listed Apple Store locations and Apple’s India phone-order channel as qualifying channels.

Which products qualify?
The Education Store lists education pricing on selected products, including MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iMac, Mac Studio, iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad Pro, Apple Watch and selected displays and accessories. Not every product or configuration necessarily receives a special price.
Do not assume that an iPhone is discounted. iPhone may appear in store navigation, but Apple’s formal education-purchase information does not establish a general iPhone student price. Check the current iPhone product page for an explicit education price before relying on one.

Annual purchase limits
Apple’s India Education Store terms set these limits for an eligible individual:
| Product category | Maximum quantity per year |
|---|---|
| Desktop Mac | 1 |
| Mac mini | 1 |
| MacBook | 1 |
| Display | 1 |
| iPad | 2 |
| Apple Watch with Education Pricing | 1 |
| Accessories with Education Pricing | 2 |
These limits do not permit buying devices for resale or institutional procurement.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

Apple’s India terms dated the 2026 College Student Offer from July 16 through August 27, 2026, subject to earlier changes or termination and product availability. Because that period has passed, do not treat the offer as active now; check Apple’s live promotion page for any replacement campaign.
| Qualifying purchase | Promotion products | Promotion saving |
|---|---|---|
| MacBook Air or MacBook Pro | AirTag 4-pack; AirPods 4; AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation; AirPods Pro 3 | ₹12,900 |
| iPad Air or iPad Pro | Apple Pencil Pro; AirTag 4-pack; AirPods 4; AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation; AirPods Pro 3 | ₹10,900 |
The terms described one selected promotion product per qualifying purchase. Apple charged for all items in the basket and applied the saving instantly; a higher-value accessory could require an additional upgrade payment. That is different from saying the accessory was automatically free.
The 2026 terms also said no-cost EMI and/or cashback offers could not be combined with the College Student Offer. Check the payment terms for any future promotion rather than assuming that Education Pricing, cashback and EMI will stack.

Payment choices and India delivery restrictions
Apple’s India payment help lists cards, net banking, UPI and EMI, with payment on delivery available only in some circumstances. Payment on delivery is not available for every PIN code or for orders above ₹50,000. Promotion-specific exclusions can override otherwise available payment methods.

Under the 2026 promotion terms, the qualifying device and promotion product had to comply with the promotion’s return rules. If the promotion product was missing, redeemed or not returned, Apple could deduct its full original value from the refund or exchange value of the qualifying product. Read the live return policy before opening or redeeming a promotional accessory.
If UNiDAYS cannot verify you
The institution is not listed
- Check the spelling, campus and city.
- Search for the parent institution rather than a department.
- Use UNiDAYS’ manual-review route when offered.
- Ask your institution’s administration for its official registered name.
- Contact Apple Support if a valid status is still rejected by the Education Store.
You have only just been admitted
Apple’s formal terms include accepted students. Keep your admission or acceptance document ready if UNiDAYS requests it.
You are under 18
Apple’s India online-store terms require the customer placing an order to be at least 18. A parent or other eligible adult may need to place the order, subject to the parent-purchaser rules.
The education price vanishes at checkout
- Confirm that you are still on Apple’s India Education Store, not the standard India store.
- Check that UNiDAYS verification completed successfully.
- Try the base configuration or another eligible configuration.
- Remove products from another storefront.
- Check whether a promotion period or stock allocation ended.
- Review your annual quantity usage.
Is Apple’s price the best deal?
Education Pricing gives you Apple’s official warranty, support and direct configuration options, but it is not guaranteed to beat every authorised-reseller price. Before paying, compare the identical model number, memory, storage and connectivity, then include:

- Bank discounts, cashback and exchange credit.
- GST-invoice requirements.
- Warranty and return terms.
- Trade-in value and delivery costs.
- The cost of a keyboard, Apple Pencil, storage upgrade or required software.
Apple’s Education Store displayed an exchange-credit range of ₹2,500–₹57,000 on August 18, 2026. Your final value depends on the device model and condition; a private sale may produce a different result. A reseller’s student promotion is not Apple’s official discount unless the reseller’s own terms say so.
Mac or iPad?
Choose based on course requirements, not the headline saving. Coding, engineering and desktop applications may require a Mac. Handwriting, portability and tablet note-taking may favour an iPad, but a keyboard and Pencil can materially increase the total cost. If you already own a capable laptop, an iPad may fill a different need; if not, buying the cheaper device can leave you paying for missing software or accessories.
Other education benefits to check

- Apple Music: Apple’s India Education Store says a special student rate includes Apple TV. The current rupee price should be checked on the live Apple Music India signup page.
- Trade In: Eligible devices can reduce the upfront cost through Apple Trade In India, subject to Apple’s assessment.
