Eligible accounts may show the virtual card’s number, expiration date, and CVV after you complete a security check. You can use those details for an online checkout or add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay—even if the physical card has not arrived.
Cash App changes labels between app versions, so look for the card-management or card-details control rather than relying on one permanent button name.
How to see your Cash App Card number
- Open Cash App on the verified phone connected to your account.
- Tap Card. In some current layouts, open Money first and then choose Card Home.
- Select your active Cash App Card or its card-management area.
- Choose the card-details or reveal option shown in your version of the app.
- Complete any passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, identity, or other security verification.
- Use only the information required: the card number, expiration date, CVV, and, if requested by the merchant, your billing ZIP code or address.
Cash App says card details can be accessed from the Card tab for online purchases or digital-wallet linking: Cash App Card. Do not assume the exact reveal-button label is universal.
What each detail means
- Card number: The payment-card number used at debit-card checkout.
- Expiration date: The month and year required by many merchants.
- CVV: The three-digit security code for many card-not-present transactions.
- PIN: A separate code used for certain in-person debit purchases and ATM withdrawals. It is not the card number or CVV.
Can you see it before the physical card arrives?
Often, eligible users receive instant access to a virtual Cash App Card. Cash App says the virtual card can be used before the physical card arrives and may be added to a digital wallet: What is a Cash App Card? and Cash App presales.

- TEST THE CARD: Test the card is working at your local supermarket. At the self-service checkout machines, combine the card and a contactless card on the payment reader. Payment with the contactless card will be blocked and an error message should occur on the reader.
This is not a guarantee for every account. Virtual-card access can depend on eligibility, identity verification, card activation, app version, or a security review. Ordering a physical card does not ensure that complete credentials will appear immediately. If you add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, the wallet may use a device-specific token rather than expose the underlying number in the same form.
If Cash App does not show the number
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm you are using the Cash App mobile app, not only the website.
- Look under both Card and Money → Card Home, since navigation varies by version.
- Update Cash App through your device’s official app store.
- Make sure you are signed in with the correct phone number or email.
- Complete any identity or security prompt instead of dismissing it.
- Check whether the card is locked, expired, canceled, awaiting activation, under review, or being replaced.
- If the physical card has arrived, activate it in Cash App using the QR code or the information the app requests. Cash App describes activation in its card guide: What is a Cash App Card?
- If the details remain unavailable, use Cash App’s in-app support.
Do not guess the number from the last four digits, install an unofficial “card-number finder,” or call a phone number found in an advertisement or social-media post.

Card number versus Cash App account and routing numbers
These are different credentials for different jobs:

Can you use the details for online purchases?
Yes. Cash App’s debit-card guidance says online checkout generally asks for the card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address: How debit cards work. Cash App also describes its card as usable for online purchases and supported Apple or Google wallets.
Acceptance is not universal. A merchant may reject prepaid or debit cards, or apply additional authorization rules for subscriptions, hotels, car rentals, international transactions, or age-restricted services. A card shown in the app can still require activation, available funds, or removal of a temporary lock.

What to do if the physical card is lost or stolen
- Lock or disable the card in Cash App, if that control is available.
- Review recent transactions for anything you do not recognize.
- Report the lost or stolen card or card number through in-app support.
- Request a replacement when needed.
- If your phone, login, or account may also be compromised, secure those credentials as well.
Cash App’s card agreement says to contact customer service immediately when a card or card number is lost or stolen or unauthorized transfers may occur: Cash App prepaid-card agreement. A replacement can have a different card number, expiration date, and CVV, so update merchants and subscriptions rather than relying on saved credentials from the old card.
Protect your card information
- Enter card details only on the trusted merchant checkout you intended to use.
- Never send the full card number, expiration date, CVV, PIN, login code, or password by email, text, or social media.
- Do not publish screenshots containing card credentials, QR codes, or account identifiers.
- Cash App says its representatives will not ask for your password, PIN, or full debit-card number. Use in-app support or the official number listed in its U.S. Terms of Service, 1-800-969-1940: Cash App U.S. Terms of Service.
If someone claiming to be support requests a full card number, PIN, or password, end the conversation and contact Cash App through the app instead.
