Hostinger Horizons is a real AI-assisted web-app builder, but Hostinger’s public documentation does not confirm that Gemini 3 powers it. Its integrated AI tools and prompt-based building can help produce prototypes, small business apps and lightweight browser tools. They do not remove the need to budget for variable AI credits, check hosting terms or review a project’s security and reliability before using it with customers.
What is Hostinger Horizons?
Horizons is a prompt-based environment for building and editing websites and browser-based web applications. You describe what you want in natural language, and the system generates or changes the project’s code, structure and behavior. Hostinger positions it for beginners as well as developers, but its product overview and getting-started guidance make clear that more complex work still benefits from careful prompts and web-development knowledge.
It helps to separate four things that can otherwise get conflated: the assistant that helps build the project, AI features that may run inside the finished app, the hosting used to publish it, and the model behind the AI. Horizons offers the first two; hosting is a separate service or a plan component, depending on the offer. Hostinger has not publicly identified the model behind Horizons in the official materials reviewed here.
Does Hostinger Horizons use Gemini 3?
That specific attribution is unverified. Hostinger describes Horizons as using the “latest LLMs,” but its public product and integrated-AI documentation does not name Gemini 3 as the model powering the service. Google/Alphabet material references Gemini 3, but the existence of a model does not show that Horizons uses it, uses it exclusively, or makes it available as a selectable option.

So the useful question is what the product demonstrably does and what it costs, not whether an unverified model label sounds impressive.
What can Horizons’ AI features do?
Build and edit a project
The core workflow is natural-language creation and revision: describe a site or app, inspect the result, then ask for changes. Narrow requests are easier to evaluate than broad ones. A request to adjust one form field is less likely to disturb unrelated behavior than “redesign the whole app,” though generated changes still need checking.
Add AI to the finished app
Hostinger says integrated AI can support text generation and analysis, image generation and analysis, chatbots, assistants, writing tools, image converters and recommendation features. The custom AI tools page and integrated-AI announcement describe these kinds of uses. Hostinger says a separate OpenAI or Gemini account, model configuration and separate AI billing are not required for the built-in capability. These features use Horizons credits, including when AI is used in a published app.
That bundled arrangement is convenient, but it is not the same as having control over the model, inference settings or a separate provider’s billing. The underlying model and the extent of user control over it are not publicly specified in the cited Hostinger materials.

Connect services and manage the project
Hostinger’s Horizons help collection documents topics including authentication and database connections, payment gateways such as Stripe, online stores, AdSense, custom domains, analytics, SEO and GEO settings, version history and collaboration features. A supported integration is not necessarily a one-click or fully managed setup: Hostinger’s FAQ notes that some database and authentication work may happen outside Horizons.
Current Hostinger help materials also document code editing and export. Older FAQ wording is more restrictive about manual code access, so confirm the actual controls available to your account and plan in the Horizons help collection before relying on code portability as a requirement.
What is Horizons suitable for—and what is out of scope?
Practical starting points
Hostinger lists use cases such as fitness trackers, management tools, dashboards, appointment and booking tools, portfolios, business sites, customer portals, subscription products, stores, chatbots and other AI utilities. Those are sensible candidates for a prototype or modest browser-based product, not a guarantee that every feature will be production-ready without revision.
- A small business site or portfolio with a custom contact or booking flow.
- An internal dashboard, tracker or lightweight customer portal.
- A first version of a SaaS idea used to test whether the workflow makes sense.
- A simple AI utility whose inputs, outputs and credit consumption can be reviewed.
Documented exclusions and higher-risk uses
Hostinger’s product overview says Horizons cannot create native iOS or Android apps for the App Store or Google Play, 3D games, browser extensions, trading applications or banking applications. A browser-based prototype is not a substitute for a native mobile release or a regulated financial system.

How do AI credits affect cost?
Horizons uses a dynamic credit system rather than charging one fixed credit for every prompt. Hostinger’s pricing help article gives examples of roughly 0.12 credits for a simple or short request and 2.45 credits for complex code generation or deep analysis; these are examples, not a promise that a particular task will consume those amounts. General questions and noncoding messages count too. Check the credit indicator in the interface after responses rather than estimating capacity by prompt count.
- A major repair or refactor can use more credits than a small wording change.
- Repeated troubleshooting can add up, especially when the request is broad or the result misses the target.
- Credits may be used both to build and edit an app and to run integrated AI features inside it.
- Unused monthly credits roll over as gift credits for one additional month, then expire. Purchased top-up credits expire after three months if unused, and Hostinger says top-ups cost more per credit than subscription credits.

These figures are the displayed plan rates, not a universal quote for every buyer. The pricing page should be checked for the buyer’s geography and term. Hostinger’s help article also describes a Hustler tier with 400 monthly credits, but its availability and price should be verified at checkout rather than assumed from that help listing.

Is hosting included?
A Horizons AI subscription and web hosting are distinct. Hostinger says an active compatible hosting plan is required to create, publish or export a project. The compatible categories are web hosting, cloud hosting and agency hosting; VPS hosting is listed as incompatible. Some Horizons promotions bundle hosting for a limited period, but the term depends on the offer. Check the hosting requirements and the FAQ before budgeting for a live site.
How to reduce avoidable credit use and project breakage
- Define a small change. State the page, component or behavior to change and what must remain untouched.
- Check the preview after each meaningful edit. Test the changed flow and a previously working flow before asking for another broad revision.
- Inspect credit use. Review the response’s credit indicator before repeating a repair request; a complex diagnosis can cost more than a simple edit.
- Preserve a working version. Use available version-history or duplication controls before a risky change, and verify your plan provides the controls you need.
- Test integrations separately. Confirm database persistence, sign-in, payments, domain behavior and error handling rather than assuming a generated interface proves the service connection works.
- Review security before launch. Check authorization boundaries, input validation, exposed API keys, rate limits and handling of personal data.
Hostinger’s support collection has separate troubleshooting guidance for blank previews, loading problems, failed deployments and deployed apps that appear offline. If the preview or deployment fails, use the relevant troubleshooting topic rather than assuming a model change or another prompt will fix it.
