Short answer: Hostinger’s “up to 79% off” figure currently applies to a specific managed WordPress Business + AI offer, not to every Black Friday hosting plan. The advertised rates are calculated on 48-month prepaid terms, and renewal prices are much higher. Hostinger’s US promotional page currently shows web-hosting discounts labeled from 71% to 80%, while its headline says “up to 75%.” Treat the percentages as marketing claims, compare the amount charged today with the renewal cost, and verify the checkout page before paying.
Prices and availability below were checked against Hostinger’s US promotional pages on August 18, 2026. Promotions can change by country and before checkout.
What Hostinger is actually offering
Hostinger’s official Black Friday web-hosting page currently displays these US prices. Each promotional monthly figure is the total for a 48-month term divided by 48; it is not a month-to-month price.
| Product and plan | Discount label shown | Advertised rate | Term and upfront total | Stated renewal rate | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium web hosting | 75% off | $2.99/month equivalent | 48 months; $143.52 | $10.99/month ($131.88 per 12 months) | One small site, blog, portfolio or early-stage business |
| Unlimited web hosting | 80% off on the plan card; page headline says up to 75% | $3.79/month equivalent | 48 months; $181.92 | $16.99/month ($203.88 per 12 months) | Several websites or freelancers and agencies |
| Cloud Startup | 71% off | $7.99/month equivalent | 48 months; $383.52 | $25.99/month ($311.88 per 12 months) | Higher-resource, growing or busy sites |
| Business + AI managed WordPress | 79% off | $3.99/month equivalent | 48 months; $191.52 | $16.99/month ($203.88 per 12 months) | WordPress sites needing staging, backups and managed tools |
The first three rows come from Hostinger’s web-hosting promotion. The WordPress row comes from the separate managed WordPress page, where Hostinger describes the offer as a summer sale rather than a confirmed 2026 Black Friday event. Hostinger’s pages also reference 2025 promotional dates (October 13–December 8, with Cyber Monday through December 15), so they do not establish a 2026 schedule. Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27.

Is the 79% discount real?
It is a real calculation from Hostinger’s displayed prices, but it applies to the Business + AI managed WordPress offer only. Hostinger shows a promotional total of $191.52 for 48 months and a stated regular total of $911.52:
- Regular total: $911.52
- Promotional total: $191.52
- Difference: $720
- $720 ÷ $911.52 = approximately 79% off
That is Hostinger’s comparison with its own stated regular price, not an independent market-price study. It does not mean all Hostinger web hosting, Website Builder, cloud hosting or VPS plans are 79% off. The web-hosting page is internally inconsistent: its headline says up to 75%, while the Unlimited card says 80% off. Attribute those labels to Hostinger rather than presenting one universal discount as fact.
What you pay today versus later
The headline monthly figure is an effective rate for a long prepaid subscription. Hostinger’s billing FAQ says customers can select 1-, 12-, 24- or 48-month billing periods, but the promotional rates above are tied to 48 months. The relevant comparison is therefore the upfront charge, followed by the likely renewal bill.
Rank #2
- Premium: $143.52 now, then a stated $10.99 per month at renewal.
- Unlimited: $181.92 now, then $16.99 per month.
- Cloud Startup: $383.52 now, then $25.99 per month.
- Business + AI WordPress: $191.52 now, then $16.99 per month.
Renewal may use a different term or price from the introductory order. Check the exact renewal date and amount in checkout and later in hPanel. Set a calendar reminder before the prepaid period ends and review auto-renewal settings rather than assuming the introductory rate continues.

Premium web hosting
Premium is the sensible starting point for one small business site, blog, portfolio or early project. Hostinger advertises three websites, 20 GB SSD storage, a free domain for one year on eligible plans, weekly backups, CDN access, ecommerce support, AI tools and two mailboxes per website free for one year. It is less suitable if you already expect to run many sites or need daily backups and more development capacity.
Unlimited web hosting
Unlimited targets freelancers, agencies and owners of multiple sites. The advertised package includes unlimited websites and mailboxes, 50 GB NVMe storage, daily backups, CDN, ecommerce features, AI tools and priority support. “Unlimited” remains subject to Hostinger’s Fair Usage Policy; it does not promise unlimited CPU, RAM, storage or traffic under every workload.
Rank #3
Business + AI managed WordPress
Choose this when WordPress-specific tools matter more than a generic hosting plan. Hostinger advertises up to 50 websites, 50 GB NVMe storage, five managed Node.js web apps, daily and on-demand backups, WordPress staging, a CDN, AI tools and five mailboxes per website free for one year. The page also displays “+3 mo. free”; confirm at checkout how those months affect the effective term and renewal date. This plan is not the same product as ordinary shared web hosting.
Cloud Startup
Cloud Startup is aimed at higher-traffic sites, growing ecommerce projects and agencies that want more managed resources without administering a traditional VPS. Hostinger lists 100 GB NVMe storage, daily and on-demand backups, CDN, a dedicated IP and priority support. The higher upfront charge and renewal rate make sense only if you need that additional capacity.

Website Builder
Hostinger’s Website Builder promotion lists Premium at $2.99/month equivalent and Business at $3.79/month equivalent on 48-month terms. It combines templates, drag-and-drop editing, AI copy and image tools, analytics, ecommerce and payment integrations. This is easier for a quick launch than WordPress, but less flexible if you later need unusual plugins or another CMS. Hostinger’s refund-help page says Website Builder backups cannot be downloaded like conventional site backups; exporting content to WordPress is offered as an alternative. That portability limitation is important before committing.
VPS
A VPS is for developers who need root-level control, custom software or predictable virtual-server resources. Hostinger’s VPS promotion lists KVM plans with AMD EPYC processors, NVMe storage, weekly backups, firewall management, a 1 Gbps network and API access; displayed monthly figures are calculated from upfront plan prices. You remain responsible for operating-system updates, security, applications and troubleshooting. Do not choose a VPS merely because its specifications look larger.
What is included—and what expires?
- Domain: Eligible plans may include a domain free for one year. Registration, renewal and eligible top-level domains vary. A free first year does not make future domain renewals free.
- SSL and CDN: Hostinger advertises free SSL and CDN availability on the promotional hosting pages.
- Email: Included mailbox allowances and the one-year free period differ by plan; verify the number and duration in checkout.
- Backups: Premium advertises weekly backups; Unlimited, Cloud Startup and Business + AI advertise daily backups, with on-demand backups specified for the latter two where listed.
- AI and marketing tools: These are plan features, but any credits or free periods should be checked for expiry.
- Migration: Confirm what migration assistance is included for your site and CMS before cancelling an existing host.
How to claim the promotion safely
- Open the relevant Hostinger product page and select the exact plan, not just the largest percentage label.
- Complete the order through Hostinger; the web-hosting page says no coupon code is required and the discount is applied automatically.
- At checkout, confirm the country, currency, plan name, number of months and total charged today.
- Read the renewal date and renewal amount, including whether the renewal term differs from 48 months.
- Check whether the domain is included, which TLD is eligible, and whether email, AI credits or other extras expire after one year.
- Remove optional add-ons you do not need and check whether tax is added.
- Note whether auto-renewal is enabled, then manage it later in hPanel.
Refunds, domains and cancellation
Hostinger’s refund summary says eligible web, cloud, KVM VPS and Game Panel hosting purchases and renewals can generally be refunded within 30 days, subject to payment-method and service conditions. Refunded services are cancelled automatically.
- A free-domain cost may be deducted from a hosting refund.
- Most general domain registrations have a separate 96-hour refund window.
- Domain renewals, completed transfers, many country-code domains, Google Workspace, VPS control-panel licenses, certain VPS upgrades, cryptocurrency purchases and other listed services are excluded.
- Refunds sent to Hostinger Balance cannot later be moved back to the original payment method.
Read the policy for your payment method and product before relying on the 30-day window.
Best Value
When Hostinger is—and is not—a good value
It can make sense when
- You are confident you will keep the site for several years and can afford the upfront payment.
- You want a low entry price for a blog, portfolio, small business or several modest sites.
- You want managed WordPress features such as staging and daily backups without running a server.
- You prefer an integrated builder and store over configuring a CMS.
Look elsewhere when
- You are testing an idea or expect to migrate soon, making a 48-month commitment unattractive.
- You need guaranteed enterprise performance or independently verified capacity rather than vendor-stated limits.
- You need root access but cannot manage security updates and server administration.
- You may outgrow Website Builder and require a portable plugin-based CMS.
- You are comparing only the first-term monthly equivalent and ignoring renewal pricing.
Alternatives by use case
Use these as comparison categories, not as claims that they are cheaper or better without checking current terms:
- WordPress.com for a hosted WordPress workflow with less conventional hosting-panel flexibility.
- Wix for visual design and integrated business tools rather than standard WordPress hosting.
- Squarespace for design-led portfolios and brand sites.
- DreamHost or SiteGround when comparing established shared or managed WordPress providers and their billing terms.
- Cloudways when you want managed cloud infrastructure without administering a raw VPS.
Bottom line
Hostinger’s 79% claim is credible only as the displayed calculation for Business + AI managed WordPress. The general web-hosting promotion uses different labels, and the page itself mixes “up to 75%” with an 80%-off Unlimited card. The more consequential facts are the 48-month upfront commitment, renewal prices, expiring inclusions and product differences. Buy now only if the exact plan fits your site and you are comfortable with the full prepaid cost; otherwise, wait for a confirmed 2026 promotion or choose a shorter billing term and recheck the checkout total.
