The figures below are from HMA’s US and UK pricing pages in 2026. The advertised monthly amounts are effective prices based on paying for the full term upfront, not month-to-month rates.

Is the HMA three-year deal worth it?
When the lower monthly equivalent makes sense
The three-year offer is the lowest listed effective monthly price in the cited US options: $2.99 versus $4.99 for the 12-month plan. For someone who expects to use HMA throughout the term and accepts paying the full amount now, that lower rate may be worthwhile.

When a shorter term is a better fit
A three-year subscription ties up the upfront payment and gives you less flexibility to change providers or plans during the term. HMA’s own guide describes its one-year plan as popular and notes the longer commitment involved with three-year plans (HMA guide to choosing a subscription term). If you are uncertain you will keep using the service, compare the value of flexibility with the lower effective monthly cost rather than treating the advertised discount as savings by itself.
What happens when the discount ends?
HMA’s UK pricing page lists renewal at £95.88 after the first three years at £86.04 (HMA UK pricing page, 2026). The cited US page does not state a renewal price, so do not assume the US offer renews at the promotional $2.99 monthly equivalent.

HMA’s Google Play listing, updated August 20, 2026, says: “Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.” It also says renewal is charged for the same duration at the then-current subscription rate (HMA listing on Google Play). The listing describes Google Play subscriptions; check the cancellation and renewal instructions for the channel through which you purchase.

HMA advertises 100+ locations worldwide and 3,400+ servers, along with streaming and P2P servers, Lightning Connect, split tunneling and a kill switch (HMA US pricing page, 2026). The pricing page also shows five- and ten-device tiers. Because the cited deal rows do not identify the device tier for the three-year offers, verify the number of simultaneous connections attached to your chosen offer before checkout.
