Historical deal: expired. For Black Friday 2022, Google cut the 128GB Pixel 7 Pro from $899 to $749—a $150, or roughly 16.7%, reduction. It was a strong unlocked-phone price just weeks after launch, but not the best deal for every buyer: Google Fi advertised the same storage tier for $599 with eligibility and service requirements, while Google’s launch offer included up to $200 in Google Store credit.
What was Google’s Black Friday Pixel 7 Pro deal?
The US Google Store promotion took $150 off the 128GB Pixel 7 Pro, bringing its $899 starting price to $749. The sale ran from November 17 through November 28, 2022, subject to availability. The discount was a direct reduction in the phone’s price, not a store-credit bonus. Droid Life reported the announced prices; 9to5Google documented the promotion window.
| Google Store phone | Original starting price | Black Friday price | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pixel 7 Pro, 128GB | $899 | $749 | $150 (about 16.7%) |
| Pixel 7, 128GB | $599 | $499 | $100 |
| Pixel 6a | $449 | $299 | $150 |
The Pixel 7 Pro price applied to the 128GB model; higher-capacity models cost more. Retailers including Amazon and Best Buy could carry comparable pricing, but matching, stock, colors, and configurations were not guaranteed across sellers.
Why was $150 off a meaningful discount?
The Pixel 7 Pro was announced on October 6, 2022, so the Black Friday price arrived about six weeks after launch. Google’s announcement highlighted the Tensor G2 processor, Android 13, a 6.7-inch display, and telephoto camera improvements. Those features made the Pro appealing to buyers who wanted a large screen and more versatile camera hardware; the sale lowered the upfront cost without requiring a carrier switch through the Google Store. Google’s launch announcement describes the phone’s features.

- Google Pixel 7 Pro featuring a large 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED display, offering vivid colors and ultra-smooth 120Hz performance powered by the advanced Google Tensor G2 chip for optimized on-device AI and daily responsiveness.
A lower price did not make the Pro the right choice for everyone. The regular Pixel 7 cost $250 less during the same Google Store promotion. The Pro premium made most sense for someone who specifically valued its larger display and advanced camera hardware, rather than simply wanting a Pixel phone at the lowest sale price.
How did the sale compare with Google’s preorder offer?
Some Pixel 7 Pro launch promotions offered up to $200 in Google Store credit, depending on the seller and promotion terms. That was not the same as $200 off: the phone’s price remained $899, and the credit was useful chiefly to someone planning another Google Store purchase. The $749 Black Friday price reduced the amount paid for the phone immediately. 9to5Google covered the preorder offers.

- Black Friday favored cash savings: You paid $150 less for the phone at checkout.
- Preorder credit could be worth more to a loyal Google shopper: A buyer who would use the full credit could value it highly, but its practical worth depended on eligible purchases and terms.
- Compare the exact seller offer: Launch incentives varied, and retailer gift cards or credits could have different redemption restrictions.
Was Google Fi’s $599 offer better?
For eligible customers willing to meet its conditions, yes. Google Fi advertised $300 off the 128GB Pixel 7 Pro, bringing it to $599—$150 less than the Google Store’s Black Friday price. The reported discounted prices were $699 for 256GB and $799 for 512GB. New subscribers generally had to port in a number; existing eligible Fi subscribers were also reported as able to qualify. Eligibility and service requirements mattered, so $599 was not a universally available unlocked-phone price. 9to5Google reported the Fi offer and conditions.
| Purchase route | 128GB Pixel 7 Pro price | Main consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Google Store Black Friday | $749 | Direct discount; no carrier switch required |
| Google Fi Black Friday | $599 | Eligibility and service conditions; new subscribers generally needed to port a number |
| Selected preorder offers | $899, with up to $200 in Google Store credit | Credit value depended on seller terms and whether you would use it |
For a fair comparison, look beyond the advertised discount: account for the cash due, any trade-in, carrier or number-port requirements, credit restrictions, storage tier, and whether the offer was available in your country. A cheaper carrier price may not be cheaper overall if it requires service you do not want.

Who was the $749 deal right for?
- Consider the Google Store offer if you wanted an unlocked Pixel 7 Pro, preferred a straightforward price reduction, and valued the Pro’s screen and camera features.
- Consider Fi instead if you qualified for the promotion and were comfortable meeting its service requirements; the reported 128GB price was lower.
- Choose the Pixel 7 for value if you did not need the Pro’s larger display or more advanced camera hardware. Its sale price was $499.
- Favor preorder credit only if it fit your spending plans: Store credit was potentially valuable for a committed Google Store shopper, but less flexible than an immediate discount.
Is this Pixel 7 Pro deal available now?
No. The November 2022 promotion expired, and the $749 price is historical, not a current Google Store offer. Google’s current offers page lists newer Pixel promotions and certified-refurbished devices; prices and inventory change. Check Google Store’s current phone offers for live availability. For a refurbished phone, verify the exact model, storage, condition, price, and warranty terms before buying; Google says its certified-refurbished phones include a one-year limited warranty.
