Yes, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is cheaper in India, but the dependable discount is not the sensational ₹80,999 headline. Samsung launched the 12GB/256GB model at ₹1,29,999. The strongest in-stock price evidence available for this comparison was ₹1,19,999 on Flipkart, with a listed ₹4,000 card cashback that could bring the effective cost to ₹1,15,999 for eligible buyers. An Amazon price of ₹80,999 and a Samsung-store price of ₹97,999 were shown as out of stock or unavailable, so neither is a buy-now deal without reconfirming stock, seller and warranty.
Galaxy S24 Ultra India launch prices
Samsung opened pre-orders in India on January 18, 2024, with broad availability from January 31. The official launch prices were:
| Variant | Launch price |
|---|---|
| 12GB + 256GB | ₹1,29,999 |
| 12GB + 512GB | ₹1,39,999 |
| 12GB + 1TB | ₹1,59,999 |
Source: Samsung Newsroom India. Launch promotions were not simply permanent price cuts: eligible pre-orders could receive a ₹12,000 upgrade bonus, a ₹10,000 storage upgrade, or combinations involving bank cashback and upgrade benefits.
What prices were actually visible?
The available evidence is a mixture of live-looking marketplace prices and unavailable listings. Prices and stock can change by storage, colour, seller, delivery PIN code and account.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
| Listing | Displayed price | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Flipkart, 256GB | ₹1,19,999 | Tracked marketplace price; verify the live listing and seller |
| Flipkart card offer | Potentially ₹1,15,999 effective | Based on a listed ₹4,000 cashback; eligibility and payout timing apply |
| Amazon, 256GB | ₹80,999 | Shown as out of stock; not an actionable deal unless it returns with suitable warranty |
| Samsung India store | ₹97,999 | Selected listing shown unavailable or “coming back soon” |
These figures were reported in the price comparison at Beebom Gadgets. Samsung’s buying page and availability status are at Samsung India. Treat the table as a dated snapshot, not a universal current price; recheck checkout before paying.
How big is the genuine discount?
Normal marketplace reduction
₹1,29,999 to ₹1,19,999 is a ₹10,000 reduction, or about 7.7%.
Rank #2
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
With the listed card cashback
If an eligible buyer actually receives the full ₹4,000 cashback, the effective cost is ₹1,15,999: ₹14,000 below launch price, or about 10.8%. Cashback may be delayed, capped, EMI-only or restricted to selected cards, colours or sellers.
The ₹80,999 figure
₹80,999 would be ₹49,000 below launch price, roughly 37.7%. However, the referenced listing was out of stock. A historical low of approximately ₹77,980 is also recorded for one 256GB listing by Price History; that is evidence of a past price event, not a promise that a new, warranty-backed phone is available today.

Separate the price you pay from the “effective” price
- Pay-now price: the amount charged at checkout before later benefits.
- Instant discount: deducted immediately when the payment conditions are met.
- Cashback: credited later under the bank’s terms, limits and timing.
- Exchange value: conditional on handing over an old device and passing inspection.
- Coupon: may be account-, seller-, colour- or inventory-specific.
Samsung says exchange value depends on the old phone’s model and condition and is subject to the dealer’s assessment. See the Samsung exchange terms. Do not describe an exchange estimate as an unconditional ₹X discount.
Where is it safest to buy?
Samsung India
Samsung is the first-party channel and may offer Rewards, exchange, Finance+ and Care+ options. The drawback is availability: the selected buying page was shown as unavailable or coming back soon, and an offer may require sign-in, a particular model code or financing. Confirm that the exact colour and storage variant is in stock.
Rank #4
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Flipkart
A referenced Flipkart page states one-year manufacturer warranty for the device and six months for in-box accessories: product page. Marketplace risk still varies by seller. Check the following before ordering:
- Exact model number, RAM, storage and colour.
- Seller identity, rating and “new” status rather than refurbished or open-box.
- GST invoice, Indian-market model and Samsung India warranty eligibility.
- Whether the bank benefit is an instant discount or later cashback.
- Return or replacement rules and delivery inspection procedure.
- IMEI on the box, phone and invoice; activation status after delivery.
Amazon and other marketplaces
Do not recommend an ₹80,999 listing merely because a tracker displays it. Buy only when the listing is live, sold by a credible seller, sealed, invoiced and covered by an appropriate Indian manufacturer warranty. Imported, activated, incorrectly listed or old-stock units can erase the apparent saving.

Is the S24 Ultra still worth buying in 2026?
It remains a credible long-term phone rather than simply obsolete clearance stock. Samsung promised the S24 series seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. Samsung’s update record for the listed SM-S928B shows Android 16 and a July 5, 2026 security patch released July 22, 2026, although rollout varies by model, country and carrier. Reasons to buy
- Flagship performance, Ultra camera system and integrated S Pen.
- Large 6.8-inch 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and 5,000mAh battery.
- Long software-support commitment and mature productivity features.
- Potentially strong value below ₹1.15 lakh, or exceptional value below ₹90,000 when stock and warranty are genuine.
Reasons to wait or compare
- It is an older generation by 2026; newer Ultra phones may improve processing, efficiency, cameras or connectivity.
- Clearance inventory may restrict colour and storage choices.
- The large, heavy design is not comfortable for every hand.
- The S Pen adds little value if you will not write, mark up documents or use remote features.
- No travel adapter is included. Samsung lists the phone, data cable and ejection pin in the box; see the official buying page.
A practical buying decision
Buy now when
- You can verify a new Indian unit with invoice and manufacturer warranty around ₹1.15–1.20 lakh.
- You specifically want the S Pen, Ultra camera system and Samsung software.
- A sub-₹90,000 offer is genuinely in stock, not exchange-dependent, and has clear seller and warranty details.
Wait when
- The lowest number is out of stock or appears only after an unconfirmed coupon.
- The saving depends on an unusually high exchange estimate.
- The seller is unfamiliar, the model is imported, or the price is close to a newer Ultra.
Compare the final checkout price for cash, bank benefit and exchange separately; then compare storage, warranty, return terms and the cost of a current competing flagship. Do not compare percentage headlines alone.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The defensible current reduction is about ₹10,000 on the 256GB model, or potentially ₹14,000 after an eligible ₹4,000 cashback. ₹80,999 is an exceptional historical or unavailable figure unless a live listing confirms stock, a new Indian unit, valid invoice and Samsung warranty. Around ₹1.15 lakh is sensible for buyers who specifically want the S24 Ultra; below ₹90,000 is outstanding only when every purchase condition checks out.
