Why the complete 50-name ranking is not shown here
The accessible Forbes release presents its top ten and links to a complete ranking, but the full list was not available in the cited material. The other 40 entries and their positions therefore cannot be verified here; filling them in from snippets or inference would risk publishing incorrect names or figures.
How Forbes estimates wealth for this list
Forbes says it gathered shareholding and financial information from families and individuals, stock exchanges, analysts and other sources. Its release states: “Net worths are based on stock prices and exchange rates as of the close of markets on July 17, 2026.” For private companies, Forbes estimates value by comparing them with similar publicly traded companies.

- Compact for travelling
These are dated estimates, not audited personal balance sheets or statements of cash on hand. Share prices and exchange rates can both affect the dollar value reported, so a change between editions does not necessarily represent an equivalent change in cash or spending power.
Who can appear on the Philippines list?
This annual ranking is not limited to individual Filipino citizens living in the Philippines. Forbes says it includes family fortunes, which may be shared among extended family members. It can also include foreign citizens with business, residential or other ties to the country, as well as Filipino citizens living abroad who retain significant business or other ties to the Philippines.

That family-based approach means an entry such as “the Sy siblings” represents a family fortune rather than a single person’s wealth. The groupings are not directly interchangeable with individual entries in every other Forbes ranking, including the Forbes World’s Billionaires list.

The leading positions shifted between the two editions. Tatler’s account of Forbes’ 2025 list placed the Sy siblings first at US$11.8 billion, Enrique Razon Jr. second at US$11.5 billion and Manuel Villar third at US$11 billion. In 2026, the Sy siblings were second and Razon was first. The cited 2026 report places Ramon Ang third.
Rank #4
Forbes reported that aggregate wealth among the 50 listed fortunes was US$86 billion in 2025 and US$79 billion in 2026, an 8% decrease. Forbes’ 2025 reporting also put the 2024 aggregate at US$80.8 billion. These comparisons concern list-wide estimates; they should not be read as a measure of any one household’s finances or as a like-for-like change in liquid assets.
