A Flipkart Gift Card is a prepaid digital balance for purchases on Flipkart.com, the Flipkart app or the mobile site. Current product information says cards are valid for 12 months, can be used across multiple orders, and cannot be exchanged for cash. You can buy one from Flipkart, receive the details by email, and apply the 16-digit number and six-digit PIN at checkout.
How to buy a Flipkart Gift Card
Use Flipkart’s gift-card account page, where the current section is labelled “Buy a Flipkart Gift Card.”

- Enter the recipient’s email address and name.
- Choose the card value and number of cards. Flipkart’s digital-card listing currently shows denominations from ₹25, a custom-amount option, and displayed values including ₹6,600 and ₹9,500; available denominations can vary by listing.
- Optionally add the gifter’s name and a message of up to 100 characters.
- Select Proceed To Pay.
- Pay with a supported credit card, debit card, ATM card or netbanking method. Flipkart’s terms specifically name credit card, debit card and net banking.
Flipkart says completed purchases are delivered by email, and the product page describes delivery as instant. The listing is marked No returns and No cash on delivery.
Where and how the card can be used
Gift Cards are redeemable only online through Flipkart.com, the Flipkart Mobile App or the Flipkart m-site, for products sold by sellers listed on the platform. They cannot be used in physical stores or withdrawn to a bank account.

A single order may contain products from multiple sellers and still use Gift Card payment. Gift Cards cannot buy another Flipkart Gift Card, a Flipkart First subscription or bulk purchases on the platform.
Redeem a Flipkart Gift Card at checkout
- Add eligible products to your cart and choose Proceed To Pay.
- Select Pay By Gift Card.
- Enter the card’s 16-digit number and six-digit PIN.
- Apply the balance and place the order.
If the order costs more than the card balance, pay the difference with a supported credit card, debit card or Internet Banking method. Cash on Delivery cannot pay the remaining amount. If the order costs less than the balance, the unused amount stays on the same card for later purchases; the product listing describes this as multiple-use.

Using several cards and the Flipkart Wallet
Flipkart’s FAQ says up to 15 Gift Cards can be combined in one order at checkout. When more cards are needed, Flipkart instructs customers to add them to the Wallet. The accessible official pages do not expose a definitive current button-by-button Wallet path, so look for the Wallet and “add your Gift Cards” controls in your signed-in account.
A current product listing warns that adding cards may require additional verification, that Flipkart may change the “Add Flipkart Gift Card” limit, and that it currently limits cards added to ₹50,000 in a calendar month. Do not confuse that account-addition limit with the FAQ’s 15-card-per-order checkout guidance; they govern different actions. Other product terms mention a separate 10-card limit within 30 days, so the applicable restriction can depend on the operation and current terms.

Check the balance, validity and expiry
The gift-card account page includes Check Gift Card Balance. Current Flipkart product information and terms state that a card is valid for 12 months from issuance (older FAQ wording says one year from creation).
Flipkart’s current product listing says a cardholder may request revalidation after expiry, subject to verification, additional terms and possibly an administrative fee. However, Flipkart’s older terms page says validity cannot be extended and that no replacement card is provided for expired or unused cards. Because the official pages conflict, treat revalidation as a request rather than a guaranteed entitlement and check the terms attached to your card.

Cancellations, refunds and lost value
Flipkart says funds are deducted when an order is placed. If that product order is later adjusted or cancelled, the refund is credited back to the Gift Card. That is different from cancelling the Gift Card itself: the product listing says a cancelled Gift Card is refunded to the original payment source.
The listing also marks cards “No returns,” so an ordinary change-of-mind return is not an established refund route. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or credit, reloaded or resold.

Restrictions, security and failed redemptions
- A checkout can fail if the unpaid remainder is set to Cash on Delivery; choose a permitted online payment method instead.
- Cards bought through fraudulent means or unauthorised third-party vendors, social-media groups or secondary marketplaces may be cancelled. The terms say funds are then credited to the original source.
- Flipkart may temporarily suspend or lock redemption of a balance for risk or compliance reasons.
- Adding a card to the Wallet can trigger additional verification.
- Never share the card number or PIN publicly. Keep the delivery email and payment record until the balance is fully used.
Who issues the card?
Issuer wording has changed. Older Flipkart FAQ and terms pages identify Qwikcilver Solutions Pvt. Ltd., while the current digital-gift-card product terms identify Pine Labs Limited; Pine Labs’ own Flipkart branded-card terms also name Pine Labs. Check the terms displayed with your specific card rather than relying on an old generic description.
Quick checklist before you pay
- Confirm the recipient’s email address and name.
- Choose a denomination that matches the intended purchase; denominations vary.
- Record the 16-digit number, PIN and issuance date securely.
- Plan to use the balance within 12 months unless Flipkart confirms a revalidation.
- Remember that excess cost cannot be paid by Cash on Delivery.
- Buy only through Flipkart or an authorised channel to reduce cancellation and fraud risk.
