The figure was the Foundation’s announced total, not an independently reconciled accounting. Its Club Championship allocation was $27 million, including $7 million for the winning club. The event has since concluded, and the 2026 edition was announced with a separate $75 million pool.
What the 2025 prize-pool announcement included
The Esports World Cup Foundation described the 2025 total as “$70+ million”; the Saudi Press Agency reported 25 tournaments across 24 games in Riyadh. That wording means more than $70 million, not an exact $70 million total. The Foundation also described its announcement as record-breaking, but the cited material does not establish an independently verified historical comparison across esports prize pools. How much went to the Club Championship?
The Foundation allocated $27 million to the Club Championship, including a $7 million grand prize for the winning club. The other announced prize categories were game championships, MVP awards and qualifiers. The available announcement does not provide a complete event-wide reconciliation of these categories, so they should not be treated as a breakdown that independently verifies an exact total.
Team Falcons went on to win the 2025 Club Championship with 5,200 points and receive the $7 million prize, according to the Saudi Press Agency’s event report. Saudi Press Agency: Team Falcons crowned 2025 winners
