Israeli cybersecurity company Remedio announced a $65 million first institutional funding round on September 15, 2025. Bessemer Venture Partners led the financing, with TLV Partners and Picture Capital participating. Formerly known as GYTPOL, Remedio says it bootstrapped to profitability before seeking outside capital and will use the investment to expand internationally, grow in the United States and build a broader device-security posture platform.
What Remedio raised
Remedio describes the financing as its first-ever funding round, rather than assigning it a formal stage in the company announcement. Some secondary sources call it a Series A, but that label is not definitive. The company announced the round on September 15, 2025; SecurityWeek reported it on September 16.

Remedio’s announcement is available at remedio.io. Secondary reports put the company’s valuation at roughly $300 million, although Remedio’s announcement did not disclose a valuation.
From GYTPOL to Remedio
Founded in 2019, the company was previously called GYTPOL. Tal Kollender founded it with Gilad Raz and Yakov Kogan; Kollender is described as a former teenage hacker and Israeli cyber-unit veteran. The business is associated with Tel Aviv and has operations in Israel, the United States and Europe.

#1 Best Overall
The rebrand is intended to signal a change in emphasis: from finding configuration problems to continuously correcting them. In practical terms, Remedio wants to be identified with device-security posture management and remediation, not only configuration monitoring. The company explains that strategy in its rebrand announcement.
What the platform does
Device security posture management evaluates whether endpoints and other connected systems remain securely configured. Remedio says its platform continuously inventories device settings, detects drift from approved baselines and policy gaps, and then supports push-button or automated fixes. It also advertises rollback to a previous secure configuration.
Rank #2
- Continuous visibility into endpoint and device configurations
- Detection of insecure settings, misconfigurations and compliance gaps
- Controlled or automated remediation, with reversion capability
- Support for multiple operating systems, device types and infrastructure environments
- SaaS and on-premises deployment, including air-gapped environments
The company says the scope can include workstations, servers, cloud instances, manufacturing systems and other connected devices. It also says the platform can integrate with existing security ecosystems, including products from CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Forescout, Claroty, Armis and AWS. Integration listings indicate announced compatibility, not identical functionality in every edition or deployment.
How this differs from endpoint detection and response
Traditional endpoint detection and response (EDR) products concentrate on preventing, detecting and investigating malicious activity, such as malware, suspicious behavior and attacker techniques. Remedio’s stated focus is the device’s underlying security posture: configuration drift, weak controls, unpatched or vulnerable conditions and nonconformity with a policy baseline.
Rank #3
That makes Remedio complementary to EDR, vulnerability-management, patch-management, configuration-management and network-access-control tools rather than an automatic replacement for them. A company can use EDR to detect an attack and a posture platform to reduce the insecure conditions that make attacks easier. Remedio’s differentiator is the claim that it can act on findings through controlled configuration changes, not simply add another alert.
Why raise after six years of bootstrapping?
Remedio says it operated for six years as a bootstrapped, profitable company before taking institutional capital. It also reports approximately 40 employees across Israel, the United States and Europe, use by hundreds of global enterprises and Fortune 500 companies, and customers including Coca-Cola Hellenic, Kraft Heinz, Eaton, Colgate-Palmolive and Ascension Health. Those operating and customer figures are company-reported.
Rank #4
Bessemer’s commentary portrays the company as unusually capital-efficient for cybersecurity. The financing therefore appears to be growth capital for an established enterprise business, not a rescue round for a pre-revenue startup. A later Remedio manufacturing page claims deployment on more than 3 million devices at over 300 companies; that is a later, self-reported marketing figure and is not independently verified here.
How Remedio plans to use the money
According to the company, the $65 million will fund:
- International expansion: building sales and operations outside its existing markets.
- U.S. growth: increasing the company’s presence in its largest strategic enterprise market.
- Faster product development: expanding engineering and delivery capacity.
- AI capabilities: developing AI-assisted security and remediation functions.
- A broader platform: bringing configuration, compliance, patching and vulnerability management into a unified product.
The strategy reflects a wider shift from tools that identify security findings to systems that help organizations resolve them at scale. Its commercial challenge will be proving that broader coverage does not sacrifice the specialist depth of dedicated patch, vulnerability or EDR products.

Automated configuration changes can reduce manual work, but they can also interrupt production, healthcare, manufacturing or legacy applications. Before evaluating a platform like Remedio, security and IT teams should check:
- Coverage: supported operating systems, cloud instances, servers, endpoints, OT devices and applications.
- Safety controls: staging, approvals, maintenance windows, dry runs, exception handling and rollback at device or policy level.
- Integration depth: whether connected tools only exchange alerts or can provide asset, identity, vulnerability and network context for action.
- Governance: change logs, approval ownership and an audit trail suitable for investigations and compliance evidence.
- Resilience: behavior when devices are offline, intermittently connected or isolated in an air-gapped network.
- Commercial scope: endpoint, asset, module and deployment-based pricing, including any differences for on-premises environments.
Common failure cases include a fix that is appropriate for one operating-system version but breaks another, a remediation rule that conflicts with group policy or mobile-device management, and rollback that cannot restore an inaccurately captured original state. Compliance alignment can demonstrate a required setting, but it does not guarantee protection from every attack. Likewise, an “AI-powered” label does not establish accuracy or safe autonomous changes without explainability, approvals and recovery controls.
What the round signals
Remedio is positioning itself in a precise niche: proactive device-posture correction for organizations with large, heterogeneous or regulated environments. The capital gives it room to expand geographically and to combine several adjacent security-management functions. Whether that positioning becomes a durable category will depend on evidence that remediation is safe, explainable, compatible with existing controls and measurably useful alongside established endpoint and vulnerability platforms.

For now, the clearest significance of the deal is the combination of a sizable first round, a six-year bootstrapping story and a product strategy centered on fixing configuration risk rather than merely reporting it.
