The shoebox-shuffling game itself is optional entertainment and does not award a prize. Entry is free, but you must be a DSW VIP Rewards member, at least 18, and a legal resident of a U.S. state or Washington, D.C.
What the “150,400+ winners” headline means
DSW’s official rules list 150,450 instant-win prize opportunities, not a guarantee that 150,450 people will win. The opportunities comprise point awards, while five additional winners will be selected in a sweepstakes for gift cards. Every apparent win is subject to eligibility and sponsor verification.
The promotion is called the DSW Shoebox Shuffle Program. It runs from September 28, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time through October 25, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. See the official DSW Shoebox Shuffle Program rules for the controlling terms.
How the three parts of the promotion differ
| Part | What it does | Prize |
|---|---|---|
| Instant Win Reveal | One daily play after registration; a result may identify a potential instant winner. | DSW VIP Rewards points. |
| Sweepstakes | One daily entry after registration; winners are selected in a later drawing. | Five $500 DSW gift cards. |
| Shoebox Shuffle Game | Optional interactive game for entertainment; you may skip it and go directly to the Instant Win Reveal. | No prize is offered for playing the game itself. |
Who can enter
According to the official rules, entrants must be legal residents of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, at least 18 years old, and DSW VIP Rewards members when entering. You need to log into your DSW VIP account to register.

How to enter the DSW Shoebox Shuffle
- Log in to your DSW VIP Rewards account.
- Visit the promotion site and submit its registration form with your first and last name and the email address associated with your account.
- After registration, use your Instant Win Reveal play. Play the optional shuffle game for entertainment, or skip it and proceed directly to the reveal.
- Register again on a later day if you want another daily entry and play. The rules allow one sweepstakes entry and one Instant Win Reveal play per person per day during the promotion period.
No purchase or payment is necessary, and making a purchase does not improve your chances. The daily limit is not permission to create multiple accounts or use different identities or email addresses; the rules prohibit attempts to obtain extra entries or plays by those methods or through automation.
Prizes and stated values
| Prize | Number offered | Value stated in the rules |

| 200 DSW VIP Rewards points | 100,000 awards | $1 per award |
| $500 DSW gift card | Five sweepstakes prizes | $500 per card |
DSW’s 2026 rules state an approximate total retail value of $204,750 for all sweepstakes prizes and instant-win points. VIP points have no cash value and are subject to the VIP Rewards program terms. The points’ dollar figures above are the values assigned in the promotion rules, not cash payouts.

Does the shuffle game guarantee a prize?
No. The shuffle is only an entertainment feature. The prize-bearing instant mechanism is the separate Instant Win Reveal; the other prize mechanism is the sweepstakes drawing. Official rules say odds depend on the number of eligible plays and prizes remaining, so the prize count does not establish any individual entrant’s probability of winning.
What happens if the screen shows a potential win?
A displayed result is not final confirmation. DSW and the promotion administrator must verify eligibility and the result. A potential winner may be asked to provide identity and eligibility information within five days of notice. A screenshot does not replace that verification process.
When the promotion ends and the drawing occurs
Entries and plays close October 25, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The sweepstakes drawing is expected on or around October 26, 2026, according to the official rules. The drawing date is an expected date, not a guarantee that selection or notification occurs at a particular time.
