Yes—but only briefly. YouTube Premium subscribers were offered three free months of Walmart+ in a limited promotion reported in March 2023. It was not a permanent Premium benefit, and the reported Walmart+ activation deadline was June 15, 2023. Current Walmart terms do not establish an ongoing free Walmart+ entitlement for YouTube Premium members.
The short answer
The offer was real, but the headline needs a date attached to it. A March 26, 2023 report described eligible YouTube Premium subscribers receiving three months of Walmart+ plus a separate Xbox PC Game Pass promotion. The Walmart+ offer was a promotional trial, not lifetime access or a standard feature of every YouTube Premium plan.

Walmart’s current membership page describes free delivery, shipping, fuel savings and a Video Streaming Choice benefit (Walmart+ help). How eligible subscribers claimed it
The reported 2023 redemption path was:
- Sign in to YouTube with the account holding YouTube Premium.
- Open the YouTube Premium benefits page.
- Find the Walmart+ promotion and select “Check it out.”
- Read the displayed eligibility rules, expiration date and billing terms.
- Continue through Walmart’s redemption flow and enter or apply the promotional code if one was supplied.
- Record the trial end date and cancel before renewal if you did not want a paid Walmart+ membership.
Those labels and controls were specific to the 2023 campaign. They are not a verified 2026 interface path.
Can you still claim the old offer?
There is no responsible basis to promise that you can. The reported deadline passed in 2023, and current Walmart terms do not preserve that promotion. You may still check your own YouTube paid-membership or benefits area for a new, account-specific partner offer, but a missing card generally means the campaign window, account, country, subscription type or billing channel is not eligible.

Auto-renewal: the important “free” condition
A free trial can still require a payment method and can become a paid subscription. Walmart’s current terms say trials may renew into a paid monthly or annual membership, depending on the offer. They also state that canceling during a trial may end access immediately (Walmart terms).
Before accepting any Walmart+ trial
- Note the exact renewal date and renewal price shown at checkout.
- Check whether a payment method is required.
- Confirm whether cancellation ends trial access immediately.
- Check whether the trial is tied to a particular Google or Walmart account.
- Save the confirmation email or a screenshot of the terms.
If you are charged
Open the Walmart account’s membership controls, check the renewal date and cancel before the next charge. Walmart lists the cancellation path as Account → Walmart+ → gear icon; customer care is another option. Keep the cancellation confirmation.
If you already subscribe to Paramount+ or Peacock
Walmart’s terms say an existing subscription to an included streaming service may need to be canceled directly with that provider before activating the Walmart+ benefit. Linking accounts does not necessarily stop separate billing. The current Walmart+ benefit is a choice of one ad-supported service, not simultaneous Paramount+ and Peacock access.
Why the Walmart+ card might not appear
- The 2023 campaign expired.
- You or the Walmart account previously used a trial.
- Your YouTube plan was billed through an excluded platform or partner.
- Your country or billing address was outside the campaign’s area.
- You are signed in to an account other than the one with Premium.
If a code is rejected, verify the intended Walmart account, expiration date, prior-trial status, country and exact code spelling. If those checks fail, contact YouTube or Walmart support rather than buying a code elsewhere.

Walmart+ today
Walmart’s current terms generally limit Walmart+ to customers with U.S. billing addresses, with limitations for certain territories and for Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The membership page currently describes delivery, shipping, fuel and the streaming choice, but Walmart says offers, fees, benefits and eligibility can change.
Walmart also advertises a 30-day trial and discounted Assist and Student memberships on its public page. Qualifying customers are currently shown $49 per year or $6.47 per month, but verify the price at checkout because it is subject to change. Eligibility verification is required, and a failed later verification can lead to renewal at then-current standard pricing unless you cancel.
YouTube Premium today
YouTube Premium’s standard benefits are ad-free YouTube, background play, downloads and YouTube Music—not Walmart delivery or fuel savings. YouTube currently offers individual, family, two-person and student membership categories, subject to country and eligibility rules. The family plan supports up to six people and the two-person plan supports two; student plans require verification (YouTube plan information).
Do not rely on an old article for current Premium pricing. The amount shown can vary by country, plan, taxes, billing platform and account status.
