A Corsair Vengeance a7400 desktop with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and GeForce RTX 5080 was reported at $3,299.99, down from $3,899.99, in an Amazon deal published December 14, 2025. That was a historical price, not a guaranteed current offer. Amazon pricing, inventory and sellers change, and Corsair’s product page later displayed the same a7400 SKU at $2,899.99 with a stated $1,000 reduction. Check both listings before treating any discount as available.
The exact system is SKU CS-9050137-NA. Its value depends not only on the RTX 5080 and 7800X3D, but also on undisclosed parts such as the power supply, motherboard and SSD model.

What the headline hardware can deliver
RTX 5080 for 4K gaming
The RTX 5080 uses NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, 16GB of GDDR7 memory, dedicated ray-tracing hardware and tensor hardware, with DLSS 4 support. It is aimed at 4K gaming, ray-traced workloads, high-refresh 1440p play and GPU-accelerated creative applications. NVIDIA’s specifications and installation requirements are documented in its RTX 5080 user guide.
#1 Best Overall
- VENGEANCE PC - Powered by AMD: Built with a full range of award-winning CORSAIR components and driven by CORSAIR iCUE software for unparalleled customization and control, the VENGEANCE a7400 Series is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9000 CPU and cutting-edge NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics.
- Liquid-Cooled AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPU: powers smooth gameplay and high frame rates across a wide range of titles for avid gamers. With exceptional single-threaded and multi-threaded performance, professional content creators can now harness the full potential by enabling users to design, render, and iterate faster than ever before.
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series Graphics: Experience lifelike virtual worlds with ray tracing and ultra-high FPS gaming with the lowest latency.
- CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 Memory: High-performance memory, optimized for Intel and lined with stylish RGB LEDs.
- Show Off Your System: Brilliant system-wide RGB lighting lets you create synchronized light shows with pre-installed signature lighting profiles, your own custom-created profiles, or integrated lighting that dynamically reacts to the game in real-time when playing select titles.
There is no universal frame-rate guarantee. Results vary by game, preset, ray-tracing level, driver and whether DLSS or frame generation is enabled. Frame generation can raise displayed frames but does not replace the performance of native rendering. The 16GB VRAM capacity is ample for most current 4K gaming, yet leaves less headroom for future ultra-texture packs, heavily modded games or professional datasets. A 4K monitor is needed to use the card’s intended capacity; a 1080p player may pay for performance that goes unused.
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
AMD lists the 7800X3D as an eight-core, 16-thread Zen 4 processor with up to a 5.0GHz boost, a 4.2GHz base clock, 104MB of total cache, a 120W typical TDP and PCIe 5 support. AMD’s reference information appears in its Ryzen and Radeon pocket guide.
Rank #2
- Game with a VENGEANCE: Built with a full range of award-winning CORSAIR components and driven by CORSAIR iCUE software for unparalleled customization and control, the VENGEANCE i7400 Series is powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core CPU and cutting-edge NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-Series graphics.
- Liquid-Cooled 13th Gen Intel Core CPU: The latest in dynamic CPU architecture so you can game and multitask without compromise, cooled by a CORSAIR iCUE H100i RGB ELITE liquid CPU cooler.
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-Series Graphics: Experience lifelike virtual worlds with ray tracing and ultra-high FPS gaming with the lowest latency.
Its 3D V-Cache remains useful for high-refresh gaming and simulation-heavy titles. It is, however, an older AM5-generation chip than newer Ryzen X3D processors. At 4K, the RTX 5080 will usually have more influence on frame rates; buyers focused on rendering, compiling or other heavily threaded work may prefer a newer, higher-core-count processor.
Memory, storage and cooling
Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR5 and a 2TB M.2 drive are practical starting capacities for modern games and general creator use. The listing establishes capacity and form factor, but not the memory speed or timings, SSD controller, NAND type, endurance or sustained-write behavior. Corsair lists the 240mm liquid cooler and six ARGB fans, which describe the cooling hardware but do not establish noise or temperature results without independent testing.

- Disclaimer: Maximum Speed requires overclocking/PC BIOS adjustments. Maximum speed and performance depend on system components, including motherboard and CPU
- Hand-sorted memory chips ensure high performance with generous overclocking headroom
- VENGEANCE LPX is optimized for wide compatibility with the latest Intel and AMD DDR4 motherboards
- A low-profile height of just 34mm ensures that VENGEANCE LPX even fits in most small-form-factor builds
- A solid aluminum heatspreader efficiently dissipates heat from each module so that they consistently run at high clock speeds
Why the $600 claim needs context
The reported $600 reduction is simply the difference between $3,899.99 and $3,299.99; it does not prove that the system is $600 cheaper than comparable RTX 5080 desktops. A manufacturer’s reference price may not equal the typical street price.
Corsair’s indexed page showed this a7400 configuration at $2,899.99, marked down from $3,899.99 for a stated $1,000 saving. That is a separate price observation, not proof of the live Amazon price or identical seller terms. At $2,899.99 the proposition is materially stronger; at $3,299.99 it is mainly a convenience purchase for someone who values Corsair’s assembly, Windows license, ecosystem and stated two-year warranty.

For a personal budget, compare the complete delivered cost—not just the badge discount—with other RTX 5080 prebuilts and with a transparent parts list. A custom build may reduce cost or improve component quality, but it also shifts assembly, setup, troubleshooting and individual warranty work to you.
Parts to verify before paying more than $3,000
- Power supply: Confirm the exact model, wattage, quality tier and modern GPU connector or adapter arrangement. The available a7400 information does not identify them.
- Motherboard: Check the model, M.2 slots, USB ports, wireless standards, PCIe layout, memory support and BIOS-update options.
- SSD: Capacity alone does not reveal PCIe generation, controller, NAND, endurance or sustained performance.
- Memory: Confirm DDR5 speed and timings, not merely the 32GB capacity.
- Graphics card: Identify the board partner and physical dimensions, especially if replacement or future case work matters.
- Seller and condition: Verify whether Amazon, Corsair or a third party is selling and fulfilling the unit, and whether it is new, refurbished or open-box.
- Returns and warranty: Corsair’s stated warranty does not automatically describe an Amazon seller’s return window, damage policy or support process.
a7400 versus the similarly advertised a5100
Do not treat Corsair’s Vengeance a7400 and a5100 as the same computer. Earlier coverage described an a5100 with the same headline CPU, GPU, memory and storage at $3,799.99, down from $4,399.99. The models are separate product lines and may differ in chassis, cooling and internal parts.

Who should buy—and who should pass
It fits buyers who
- Want a ready-to-use, warranty-backed 4K gaming desktop.
- Need RTX 5080-class performance without assembling an AM5 system.
- Value Corsair’s case, lighting, cooling and component ecosystem.
- Use GPU-accelerated creative software and can benefit from NVIDIA features.
Be cautious if
- The live price is near $3,800–$3,900.
- The seller is third party or the configuration differs from SKU CS-9050137-NA.
- The motherboard, PSU or SSD remains undisclosed.
- You already own a case, storage, power supply or Windows license.
- A newer Ryzen X3D system is available for similar money.
Skip it if
- You mainly play esports at 1080p.
- Your work needs substantially more than eight CPU cores.
- You are unwilling to pay a premium for assembly, branding and support.
- The listing lacks a clearly identified, suitable power supply or has a materially different parts list.
Purchase checklist
- Match the listing’s model and SKU to CS-9050137-NA.
- Record the actual price, seller, fulfillment method and stock status on the day you buy.
- Confirm new versus refurbished condition, return deadline and shipping-damage procedure.
- Request or locate the PSU wattage/model, motherboard model, SSD model and DDR5 speed.
- Confirm the warranty provider and how a claim is handled for an Amazon purchase.
- Compare the final price with Corsair’s direct listing and similarly equipped RTX 5080 systems.
Verdict
This is a capable 4K-oriented prebuilt, but the historical Amazon price should not be presented as a live deal. Near Corsair’s indexed $2,899.99 price, it is a stronger convenience-value proposition if the internal components check out. At the reported $3,299.99, it can make sense for buyers who specifically want a finished Corsair system and warranty support, but it is not automatically a bargain. Near $3,900—or with an undisclosed PSU and motherboard—comparison shopping or a transparent custom build is the safer financial decision.
