Coro announced a $100 million Series D on March 28, 2024, to expand its cybersecurity platform for small and medium-sized businesses. One Peak led the round, joined by existing investors Energy Impact Partners and Balderton Capital. Coro said it would use the funding for global expansion, research and development, product innovation, and strategic partnerships and its channel ecosystem.

What Coro does

Coro sells cybersecurity software to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Its platform brings together protection for endpoints, email and users, networks, and cloud services. SecurityWeek also describes its coverage as including malware, phishing, and data leaks.

One Peak characterized Coro as an enterprise-grade security platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, combining endpoint, email and user, network, and cloud protection in one service. That describes the product’s intended breadth; it is not independent evidence of how well the platform performs.

Who invested in Coro’s $100 million round?

One Peak led the Series D, with Energy Impact Partners and Balderton Capital participating as existing investors. Coro’s announcement and Balderton’s account said the company had raised $255 million in the 24 months preceding the March 2024 round.

TechCrunch reported, citing sources close to the deal, that the financing valued Coro at more than $750 million post-money. Coro’s investor announcement did not confirm that valuation, so it should be treated as a media-reported figure rather than a company-disclosed number.

Why SMB cybersecurity is attracting investment

For a smaller business, protecting devices, email accounts, networks, and cloud services can mean dealing with several security products and consoles. A unified platform is designed to bring those protections together, which may simplify administration for organizations with limited specialist staff. Whether it reduces total cost or improves security depends on the business’s needs, the products it would otherwise use, and the platform’s actual performance; the available reporting does not establish Coro’s pricing or independent efficacy.

Coro said the Series D would support expansion, research and development, product innovation, and strategic partnerships and its channel ecosystem. TechCrunch reported that the company planned international expansion beginning in Europe and intended to add more AI tools. These were reported plans in 2024, not confirmation of current availability or features.

Does Coro have an MSP partner program?

CRN reported that Coro co-founder and CMO Dror Liwer expected the company to unveil a revamped partner program with upgrades for solution and service providers. This supports the existence of a planned channel investment, but does not establish the program’s current signup process, commissions, geographic reach, or other terms. MSPs and solution providers should confirm current details directly with Coro before evaluating a partnership.

What the funding announcement does—and does not—tell buyers

The round shows investor support for Coro’s effort to serve SMBs with a broader cybersecurity platform. It does not establish that Coro is the right choice for a particular organization. Buyers comparing platforms should check which endpoint, email, network, and cloud controls are included; how deployment and ongoing management work; how well the product fits their staffing and budget; and whether local support or an MSP channel is available.

Compare total operating cost against the cost of separate products, including administration and integration—not just subscription fees. The sources available for this announcement do not provide comparable pricing or independent product testing, so they cannot settle those questions.
