WTS was identified as the new facility’s anchor tenant under a long-term colocation agreement.
What CoreLink leased
DataCenterKnowledge reported that the new facility was adjacent to CoreLink’s existing Seattle-area data center. Although the transaction was described using the Seattle market label, the building was in Tukwila, south of Seattle, on Sabey’s Intergate.West campus.
WTS signed a long-term colocation agreement and was named the anchor tenant. The report described WTS as a provider focused on disaster recovery and IT infrastructure services for Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and World products.
Historical facility specifications and expansion plans
The figures below are measurements and proposed work reported in 2010. They are not verified current specifications.
#1 Best Overall
| Item | 2010 report | Status in the report |
|---|---|---|
| Facility area | 39,000 square feet | Reported facility size |
| Raised floor | 13,000 square feet | Configured at the time of the report |
| Total dedicated power | 6 megawatts | Reported allocation |
| Power architecture | 2N | Configuration CoreLink planned to implement |
| Usable UPS power density | 150–200 watts per square foot | Planned density |
| Raised-floor expansion | Up to 25,000 square feet | Planned usable area after facility work |
CoreLink’s first Seattle data center was described as 90 percent full. That was a company- and facility-specific occupancy statement in the 2010 report, not a statistic for the broader Seattle market.
Why CoreLink said it expanded
Geoff Hampson, identified by DataCenterKnowledge as CoreLink’s founder and CEO, said: “The demand in the Seattle market is robust and CoreLink has experienced considerable success there over the last two years.” This is Hampson’s contemporaneous explanation for the expansion, not an independently measured market forecast.

What the transaction meant for WTS
For WTS, the lease provided additional colocation space for disaster-recovery and enterprise-infrastructure operations. The anchor-tenant arrangement also gave CoreLink a substantial initial commitment as it brought the second facility into its Seattle-area portfolio.
What can be confirmed about the location today
Cogent Communications’ current service-location directory lists “DataBank SEA2 (fka. zColo/CoreLink)” at 3311 S 120th Place, Tukwila, WA 98168. The directory is useful as a location and naming cross-check for the former zColo/CoreLink association, but it does not establish current ownership, operating status, available capacity, or continuity of the exact premises leased in 2010.

How to interpret the story
- This was a historical lease announcement, not a current colocation offer.
- The Seattle reference identifies the metropolitan market; the facility itself was in Tukwila.
- The 13,000-square-foot raised floor was the reported configuration at announcement, while 25,000 square feet was a future target.
- The 6-megawatt, 2N and 150–200-watt-per-square-foot figures describe the 2010 report and planned design, not verified present-day performance.
The Bottom Line
CoreLink’s 2010 lease added a second Seattle-market data center at Intergate.West in Tukwila, with WTS as anchor tenant. The announcement documented an expansion plan; it does not, by itself, prove what the facility’s ownership, capacity or operations are today.
