Highest CD rate reported on November 25, 2025
Yahoo Finance’s date-matched roundup listed United Fidelity Bank’s 18-month CD at 4.15% APY as its highest offer. The figure describes what that roundup reported for November 25, 2025; it does not establish that the offer remained open after that date or that it was the highest rate across the entire market. Read the Yahoo Finance roundup.
The cited report establishes the APY, term, and bank name, but the current minimum opening deposit, early-withdrawal penalty, eligibility rules, and geographic availability were not verified. Those terms matter: a headline APY alone is not enough to determine whether a CD suits your needs.
How Treasury yields compare with CD rates
The U.S. Treasury’s daily curve for November 25, 2025, showed these yields. Treasury yields are not bank CD APYs, so they are useful market context—not direct substitutes for CD rate quotes. View the Treasury daily yield curve.

Why the FDIC national average is a different measure
The FDIC national CD rate is a weighted average of rates paid by insured banks and credit unions, with institutions weighted by their share of domestic deposits. It represents a broad market measure, not a roundup of selected top offers. Therefore, a reported high offer such as the 4.15% APY above should not be compared with an FDIC average as though both measure the same thing. See the FDIC’s national-rate methodology.
The FDIC historical index lists a November 17, 2025 rate update. The agency says its monthly published information is based on rates available as of the last business day of the prior month end, so the index is not a daily quote for November 25. Exact November 2025 tenor-specific national averages are not included here. Check the FDIC historical rates.
