For card limits, Cash App’s agreement states a reset at 7 p.m. Eastern Time every Saturday, with a separate provision stating 8 p.m. Eastern Time during daylight-saving time. Your in-app limit is the controlling figure for your account.

Which Cash App limit did you reach?
The failed action usually identifies the relevant limit. Cash App treats these services separately:

When do Cash App Card limits reset?
Saturday schedule
The Cash App Visa Debit Flex Card Agreement states that the weekly card limit resets at 7 p.m. Eastern Time every Saturday. The same agreement includes a daylight-saving-time provision stating that the reset is 8 p.m. Eastern Time during daylight saving time. Because that wording is unusual, use the time shown in Cash App and convert Eastern Time to your location rather than relying on a generic internet time conversion.
This is a service-defined schedule. It is not necessarily seven days after your most recent purchase or withdrawal.
Published agreement figures are not guarantees
For the card program covered by that agreement, the listed figures include a $10,000 seven-day spending limit, a $25,000 monthly spending limit, and a $1,000-per-week minimum ATM/POS withdrawal limit. Cash App says actual limits may be higher and may vary by customer, card program, or restriction. Check your account instead of treating those numbers as promises.
Several cards may share the allowance
Cash App generally calculates limits across a customer’s Cash App Cards. The agreement identifies an exception for cards authorized for a sponsored person. Having another personal Cash App Card therefore may not create a fresh weekly allowance.

“Per 7 days” is not automatically Saturday
Cash App’s official sending and receiving guide says an account without identity verification can send up to $250 per 7 days and receive up to $1,000 per 30 days. The guide does not specify a fixed Saturday reset time.

A rolling seven-day window looks back at recent activity. If you sent money on Wednesday, capacity may return when that transaction falls outside the applicable seven-day window, rather than at the next Saturday evening. Do not substitute a calendar week (Monday–Sunday or Sunday–Saturday) unless the app explicitly labels the limit that way.
Verification can change eligibility, not erase usage
Cash App may raise sending or receiving eligibility after identity verification, but it does not promise a particular new amount or an instant restoration of funds already used. Reviews, security checks, account restrictions, and transaction-specific holds can still apply.
Paper Money Deposit limits and timing
Under Cash App’s U.S. Terms of Service, Paper Money Deposit limits are daily and periodic. Cash App sets them using factors such as account history, direct-deposit history, spending activity, and risk-related information, and may increase or decrease them. The applicable amount is displayed in the mobile app; the terms do not publish one universal weekly reset time.
The current terms charge $1 per Paper Money Deposit transaction. Effective June 29, 2026, the $1 fee is no longer waived for eligible Cash App Green customers.

How to check your current limit in Cash App
- Open Cash App and tap the profile icon.
- Tap Limits.
- Choose the relevant card or transaction category and read the displayed allowance, period, and remaining amount.
- For verification status, open Account & settings → Security & privacy, then review Identity verification. Cash App may show “Verified” or the steps still required.
Labels and eligibility can vary by account, card program, feature, and app version. The in-app display is more relevant to your account than a published example.
Why a limit may not appear to have reset
- Wrong limit: A card, ATM, P2P, Paper Money Deposit, and bank-transfer limit are different controls.
- Rolling window: A “per 7 days” allowance may require a recent transaction to age out.
- Eastern Time: A card reset may not have reached the agreement’s Saturday time in Eastern Time, including its daylight-saving provision.
- Pending or held activity: A transaction under review, fraud screening, or an account hold can keep funds unavailable.
- Available balance: A limit reset does not create money if your spendable balance is insufficient.
- ATM, merchant, or network cap: A machine or payment network can impose a lower limit than Cash App.
- Account controls: Sponsored, teen, unverified, restricted, or risk-reviewed accounts may have different eligibility.
- Multiple cards: Your cards may draw from an aggregated customer-level allowance.
If the relevant card reset time has passed, the rolling-window transactions have aged out, and the app still shows no availability, contact Cash App Support through the app. Support can investigate an account-specific problem, but Cash App’s public terms do not guarantee a manual override.

Can Cash App increase or manually reset a limit?
Cash App may adjust limits after verification or through its own account and risk review, but it does not promise that support can manually reset a consumed allowance. Verification is an eligibility process, not a shortcut around card spending limits, holds, security checks, or compliance controls.
Cash App’s terms reserve the right to limit, block, suspend, or place holds on transactions. A decline therefore does not prove that a weekly allowance was exhausted.

Legitimate options while you wait
- Wait for the stated Saturday card schedule or for a rolling seven-day transaction to leave the window.
- Complete identity verification if Cash App offers it and you are comfortable providing the requested information.
- Use a linked bank account or another payment method for an urgent purchase.
- Ask the recipient or merchant whether another payment method is accepted.
- If an ATM is the problem, try another machine that supports the amount you need, while staying within Cash App’s remaining allowance.
- Transfer available funds to a linked bank account when the transfer option is available. Standard transfers typically arrive within three business days; an instant transfer may be available for a fee, according to the Terms of Service.
Do not create duplicate accounts, falsify identity information, use another person’s account, or split transactions to evade a control. Those actions can trigger further restrictions or account closure.
