There is no verified general free-coffee or breakfast offer at Costa, Pret or McDonald’s for that date: McDonald’s’ published free-coffee promotion ended on 30 September. You may still be able to redeem a reward already in your account, but check your app and local store before setting out.
At a glance: what might be free tomorrow?
| Chain | What could qualify | Is it a general offer for 4 October? |
|---|---|---|
| Costa | An existing Costa Club drink reward or eligible birthday treat | No general offer confirmed; rewards depend on account eligibility and availability. |
| Pret | An existing Pret Perk | No general free drink or breakfast offer confirmed. Club Pret is a paid discount subscription. |
| McDonald’s | Rewards points or an account-specific app offer | No: the published free-coffee offer ended on 30 September 2026. |
For any chain, open the app and check the reward’s expiry, eligible items and participating locations. Public offer pages cannot confirm what appears in an individual account or whether a nearby shop can honour it.
Costa: check for a drink reward or birthday treat
Costa Club Beans
Costa Club awards Beans on qualifying purchased barista-made drinks. Costa says ten drinks earn one free handcrafted drink; using a reusable cup earns an extra Bean per drink, so five qualifying reusable-cup purchases can earn a free drink. These are rewards accumulated through purchases, not a free drink available to every customer tomorrow. See Costa Club.
Birthday treats
Costa’s FAQ says members who provide a valid date of birth and agree to marketing communications receive a birthday treat. It can be redeemed through seven days after the registered birthday, requires no purchase and is subject to availability and exclusions for some sweet-counter items. Check the reward and its terms in your account. Costa says Bean-earned free-drink rewards expire three months after issue, while Beans expire after 12 months without an app or card transaction. Read Costa Club FAQs.

Pret: an existing Perk may be redeemable
Pret Perks
Pret Perks members scan their app code when shopping. Ten stars earn a Perk selected from the available treats. That is an earned reward; Pret’s public terms do not establish that a new member can earn and redeem one by tomorrow. Check your app for any available Perk and its terms. See Pret Perks.
Club Pret is paid, not free
Club Pret costs £5 per month and gives 50% off up to five eligible hot or iced barista-made drinks per day. It excludes blended drinks such as frappés and smoothies, and participation and availability vary by shop. It is a subscription discount, not a free coffee or breakfast. Check Club Pret terms.

McDonald’s: the September free-coffee offer has ended
McDonald’s UK offered one free regular McCafé coffee per week from 8 through 30 September 2026. The promotion required an account and app and had age and other restrictions. Because it ended before 4 October, it is not a valid free-coffee offer for tomorrow. Read McDonald’s promotion announcement.
MyMcDonald’s Rewards is available through the app and earns one point for every penny spent, which can be redeemed for rewards. Check your account for any points or individual offer; the rewards programme is not the same as the expired September promotion. See the McDonald’s app and rewards.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteHow to check before you go
- Open the relevant chain’s app and sign in to the account that holds your reward.
- Look for an available reward or offer, then check its expiry date, eligible products and any purchase or membership conditions.
- Confirm that the shop you plan to visit participates and can honour the reward; local availability may vary.
- At checkout, follow the app’s redemption instructions, such as scanning a code before paying.
Do not count on a chain-wide free breakfast or coffee unless the current offer in your account explicitly says you qualify. The cited offers establish possible loyalty rewards, not a free item for everyone on 4 October.
