| Project | Location and status | Planned scale | Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| New Kent | Near I-64 Exit 211; dependent on reconstruction of the interchange | Not stated in the cited update | Buc-ee’s real-estate director Stan Beard said an opening around the end of 2029 could be possible if the interchange proceeds. The county performance-agreement deadline runs to December 31, 2029, with a possible 18-month extension into 2031 if work is delayed. |
| Stafford | Near I-95 and Courthouse Road; planning proposal, with no confirmed construction or opening date | 74,000 square feet and 120 fueling positions | No date confirmed as of September 2026. |
Stafford’s county planning material also describes 24-hour, seven-day operations, food, clothing and gifts, and no tractor-trailer parking except for deliveries. Future-site schedules can change as interchange work, zoning and permits advance.

The Mount Crawford site combines high-capacity fueling with a large retail and food operation. Travelers can stop for barbecue and baked goods, buy Buc-ee’s branded clothing and souvenirs, or pick up signature snacks such as Beaver Nuggets and jerky. Its size and product mix are designed to make the center a destination during an I-81 trip rather than a quick fuel-only stop.
