What the November 2024 roundup actually claimed
The original article, published November 8, 2024, put three separate stories side by side. Its claims have different evidence behind them, so they should not be treated as equally verified or as parts of a single development.

What the X1 App’s 200,000-user figure means
A company-reported milestone, not an audited adoption count
BlockDAG said in a November 1, 2024 development release that its X1 App had surpassed 200,000 active users. That confirms what the project announced, not the independent accuracy or meaning of the figure. The release does not provide an audit, a definition of “active,” app analytics, retention data, or a public method for counting unique people. Read the release.
“Active users” could refer to daily, weekly, monthly, or cumulative activity; a user account is not necessarily one unique person, and app activity does not by itself demonstrate sustained use or contribution to a live network. The available evidence does not answer whether duplicate accounts, referrals, or multiple devices were counted, or how the tally reconciles with app-store downloads.

App rewards are not automatically mined, liquid coins
BlockDAG’s FAQ describes X1 as a free mobile mining app and says accumulated BDAG would be transferred to wallets when mainnet became live. That distinction matters: an in-app reward balance is not necessarily a transferable token, and a transferable token is not necessarily liquid or redeemable for cash. Before assigning value to a balance, a user needs to establish the project’s launch and migration status, wallet and transfer conditions, and whether a genuine market exists. BlockDAG’s mining FAQ.
The word “mining” should not be taken to mean that a smartphone necessarily performs conventional proof-of-work computation. The materials cited here describe a mobile reward app; they do not independently establish the app’s consensus role or demonstrate that app activity secures the network.

Published hardware prices and output are project specifications
BlockDAG’s FAQ listed physical X10, X30, and X100 miners at $130, $600, and $1,500, with advertised output of 200, 600, and 2,000 BDAG per day, respectively. These are project-published figures, not independently verified prices, realized output, or profit forecasts; availability, geography, and timing may affect the listed terms. See the project FAQ.
Token output alone cannot establish a return. A meaningful assessment also needs a verified token price and transferability, reward rules and any changes to them, hardware delivery and operating costs, electricity, maintenance, fees, liquidity, and resale value. Without those inputs, calculating a payback period would create false precision.

What would make the adoption claim easier to assess?
- A clear definition of “active,” with a measurement period and unique-user methodology.
- Independent app analytics or an audit that explains how accounts and devices are counted.
- Retention data and a transparent reconciliation with app-store distribution figures.
- Public evidence of token distribution, wallet withdrawals, and network activity that can be checked independently.
What Venmo through MoonPay meant for a Uniswap user
A fiat on-ramp, not Venmo joining Uniswap’s exchange protocol
The reported change was a way for eligible users to use Venmo as a payment method when buying crypto through a supported purchase flow. MoonPay supplied the on-ramp layer: payment processing and related provider checks sit between a funding method and delivery of crypto to a wallet. The report does not mean Venmo became part of Uniswap’s decentralized exchange protocol, or that Uniswap itself took custody of a Venmo balance. Contemporary reporting.
- The user selects a supported crypto-buying flow in the relevant Uniswap interface.
- An on-ramp provider such as MoonPay processes the purchase and applies its payment and compliance requirements.
- Venmo may appear as a funding option for eligible users, depending on availability.
- The purchased asset is sent to the specified wallet, subject to the provider’s terms, supported asset and network, identity checks, and jurisdictional limits.
Buying through an on-ramp is different from swapping one token for another on Uniswap’s automated market maker. The first is a fiat purchase handled by a provider; the second is an on-chain exchange transaction. Check the quote and conditions before paying
The 2024 report does not establish a universal fee, purchase limit, location rule, or account-eligibility policy. Those terms can depend on the provider, payment method, user, asset, and jurisdiction. Before approving a purchase, review the final quoted amount and all displayed charges, identity-verification requirements, transaction limits, supported networks, and the destination wallet. Confirm whether the asset can be sent to an external wallet and what happens if payment fails or a transaction is disputed; do not assume a purchase can be reversed like an ordinary card payment.
- Open the official Uniswap interface or app, and verify which provider is handling the purchase.
- Compare the amount of crypto offered with an independent market quote, including any spread and network cost.
- Check that the selected asset and network match the receiving wallet.
- Read the provider’s current eligibility, payment, refund, and withdrawal terms before confirming.
The current Uniswap app describes supported purchase and trading functions, but a product interface does not establish that Venmo is available to every user or for every asset. MoonPay’s terms and the purchase screen govern the specific transaction; the contemporary report alone does not settle today’s fees or coverage.

Why the Bittensor bearish signal is no longer current analysis
The article reported an ADX value of 18.53 and interpreted an Ichimoku Cloud reading as bearish, while suggesting the downtrend might be losing strength without showing strong upside momentum. That was the article’s interpretation of market conditions around November 2024, not an enduring property of TAO.
The cited snapshot does not specify the TAO trading pair, exchange or data provider, candle timeframe, reading timestamp, ADX calculation period, or the Ichimoku components relative to price. Without those inputs, another reader cannot reproduce the signal. ADX is a measure of trend strength, not direction by itself; neither it nor an Ichimoku configuration guarantees a reversal or continuation.
As of 2026, the old indicator values cannot answer whether TAO is bullish or bearish. A fresh assessment would require current, timestamped market data and a defined venue and timeframe. Depending on the question, a broader view could also examine liquidity, derivatives positioning, funding, emissions, subnet activity, and general market conditions. The later BlockDAG figure is a newer claim, not independent confirmation of either the 2024 user count or the subsequent increase. Likewise, a larger Uniswap product ecosystem does not make a particular on-ramp available everywhere, and institutional discussion of TAO does not make a 2024 chart reading relevant to current trading.

Practical checks before using a mining app or crypto on-ramp
For a mining or reward app
- Reach the download through the project’s verified official channels. A direct Android APK deserves extra scrutiny: verify the publisher, signature, permissions, and download domain; avoid mirrors or links sent unsolicited.
- Never share a seed phrase or private key with an app, support agent, or promotion.
- Confirm whether rewards are points, an in-app balance, or transferable tokens, and identify the official contract and withdrawal conditions before paying for hardware or presale access.
- Check liquidity and the legitimacy of any token market. An unofficial token or pool can resemble the intended asset; community warnings are anecdotal and are not proof, so verify contract details through official project channels. Example community warning.
- For a physical miner, assess delivery, warranty, electricity, maintenance, fees, reward durability, and resale value rather than relying on advertised daily token output.
For a purchase using Venmo or another payment method
- Verify the domain or app, on-ramp provider, receiving address, asset, and network before authorizing payment.
- Read the complete quote, including provider charges, spread, and network costs, and check the provider’s current limits and location rules.
- Confirm identity-verification requirements and whether the purchased asset can be withdrawn to a self-custodied wallet.
- Understand failed-payment and refund rules; crypto transfers can be difficult or impossible to reverse.
For a TAO market view
- Require a timestamp, pair, venue, timeframe, and indicator settings so the chart can be reproduced.
- Treat ADX as trend strength rather than a directional promise, and treat chart patterns as conditional observations.
- Do not reuse the article’s 18.53 reading as a 2026 signal; it describes a different market moment.
Verdict
The headline reflected three real areas of crypto activity, but not one connected event. BlockDAG’s 200,000 figure was a company-reported milestone without an independent audit in the available evidence; the Uniswap item described a MoonPay-mediated buying option whose terms and availability require checking; and Bittensor’s bearish signal was a non-reproducible 2024 technical snapshot. For a personal-finance decision, the key questions are whether a token balance can actually be withdrawn and sold, what a purchase costs in full, and whether market data is current enough to support the conclusion.
