When did Black Friday deals start in 2025?
There was no single nationwide start date. Each retailer used its own early event and main promotion.

Amazon’s date guidance confirms November 28 as Black Friday and November 20 as the start of Black Friday Week (Amazon’s 2025 date announcement). Amazon’s event announcement covered the November 20–December 1 promotional period (Amazon event announcement). Target documented its early sale in an October 30 fact sheet (Target holiday-savings fact sheet) and its November 23–29 event in a later announcement (Target main-event announcement).

Amazon also listed the Echo Dot Max among featured devices, but the announcement did not establish a current price. Target’s early-sale examples included up to 50% off selected small appliances and floorcare, selected toys, and 40% off selected LEGO products.
Why the phrase “today’s 25 best deals” is misleading now
The original headline described a live 2025 shopping guide. On September 30, 2026, those events are historical. No source here verifies a current list of 25 offers, today’s prices, inventory, sellers, return terms or price history. Reusing an old percentage as a live discount could mislead shoppers, especially where an offer applied only to selected models, colors, sellers or a limited event window.

What must be checked before republishing as a live guide
- Current item price and whether the product is actually in stock.
- Seller of record, shipping charges and delivery date.
- Exact model, bundle, color and included accessories.
- Coupon, membership, payment-method and quantity restrictions.
- Return policy and any post-purchase price-adjustment rules.
- Price history, rather than assuming the retailer’s “off” percentage is a record low.
How to interpret the 2025 timing
For Amazon shoppers
Amazon’s first major announced 2025 window began November 20, eight days before Black Friday, and continued through December 1. Daily deals and rotating inventory meant that not every advertised product was available for the entire period.
For Target shoppers
Target opened with a November 6–8 early sale, then scheduled its main event for November 23–29. The two windows explain why shoppers could see Black Friday pricing well before November 28.

For planning future Black Friday shopping
Use the calendar date as an anchor, but watch retailer announcements and product-level terms. “Official start” can mean the first early-access event, the retailer’s branded Black Friday Week, or the main event that includes the largest advertised assortment.
