BiggerStage has appointed Leda Connaughton-Deeny, a former Paramount Global finance and strategy executive, as its chief financial officer. Reporting to founder and CEO Pat Kiely, she will lead finance, strategy and investment as the Irish production company expands its production services, co-productions and commercial partnerships.
Who is Leda Connaughton-Deeny?
Connaughton-Deeny spent more than 20 years at Paramount Global, where she led finance and strategy teams from Sydney, London and New York. Her work there covered broadcast, content distribution, streaming and consumer products, according to C21Media’s appointment report and Episode’s report, dated October 2, 2026.
What will she do as BiggerStage CFO?
Connaughton-Deeny reports to Kiely and will lead BiggerStage’s finance, strategy and investment work. The company says her priorities include scaling production services and co-production models, and developing commercial partnerships with studios and networks. Her remit therefore extends beyond overseeing financial operations to supporting the company’s growth plans.
Why is BiggerStage making the appointment?
The hire follows the launch of BiggerStage’s Global Production Hub at Troy Studios in Limerick. The company has presented the CFO appointment as part of its expansion and pursuit of investment opportunities. Kiely said: “Leda brings exceptional financial leadership to BiggerStage at a critical moment in our growth. Her international experience with global media businesses will be instrumental as we scale the business, evolve our proposition and pursue the significant investment opportunities ahead.”
