The figure is an estimate, not a publicly audited balance sheet. Her 2025 earnings and the gross receipts from her tours are different measures and should not be mistaken for her net worth.
What Forbes reported about Beyoncé’s billionaire status
Forbes reported that Beyoncé had crossed the billionaire threshold by late 2025. Its estimate reflects the value of assets and income streams attributed to her; the reviewed coverage does not provide a detailed, asset-by-asset calculation or full methodology. The Washington Post also reported the designation while covering Forbes’s estimate. Forbes Australia’s report is the primary account of the claim, while The Washington Post’s coverage provides independent reporting context.
How Beyoncé built her wealth
Music and catalog rights
Forbes identifies Beyoncé’s music career and control of catalog rights as major foundations of her wealth. A long-running recording career can generate income through music sales and listening as well as through ownership or control of valuable rights. The available reporting identifies catalog rights as a contributor but does not assign them a separate dollar value.
Touring—and the difference between gross and personal income
Concert tours can produce very large receipts, but a tour’s gross is not the artist’s personal profit: production, venues, promoters, staff and other costs sit between ticket sales and an artist’s take-home income. The Washington Post reported that the Renaissance World Tour grossed more than $579 million. That is the reported gross for the tour, not Beyoncé’s personal earnings or net worth.

Sponsorships and commercial opportunities
Forbes also lists sponsorship deals among the main contributors to Beyoncé’s wealth. It links additional commercial opportunities to the Cowboy Carter era: the album was released in 2024, followed by a tour in 2025. The reporting does not break out the value of those deals or specify how much of the billionaire estimate they account for.
Business ventures
Forbes names Cécred, her hair-care venture, and SirDavis, her whiskey venture, among Beyoncé’s businesses. It also says Ivy Park was discontinued in 2024. The reviewed reporting does not quantify any of these ventures’ contribution to her net worth, so they should be understood as part of her business activity rather than assigned a speculative valuation.

Why her 2025 earnings are not her net worth
Forbes estimated that Beyoncé earned $148 million before taxes in 2025, ranking her third among musicians in its accounting for that year. This is an estimate of one year’s pretax earnings. Net worth is a separate measure—the estimated value of assets minus liabilities accumulated over time—and tour gross is a third measure. None of those figures can be substituted for another.
For a current career overview and any later changes to Forbes’s estimate, see Forbes’s Beyoncé profile. The estimate should be described as Forbes’s assessment unless Beyoncé or an authorized representative publishes a personal financial accounting.
