Bolsapp is the clearest documented free alternative for following Mexican-market issuers. It is published by Grupo Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV) and describes issuer tracking, performance graphs, financial indicators, and information on local shares, FIBRAs, and ETFs. Apple’s Bolsa app is another free option for general watchlists and charts, while BMV’s SiBolsa offers a more extensive official information platform but only advertises a 15-day demo—not free ongoing use. Before choosing any tracker, search for the exact Mexican tickers you need and check whether their prices are real-time, delayed, or historical.

Best free alternatives at a glance

Bolsapp Issuer information, favorite-stock tracking, performance graphs, financial indicators, investment-fund information, brokerage information, and educational materials, according to its Google Play listing. The listing describes it as free. It does not establish that every feature or every Mexican ticker is available. People looking for a Mexico-focused starting point for market information and tracking.
Apple Bolsa Watchlists, quotes, interactive charts, and business news; the Mexico App Store listing names iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. Listed as free in the Mexico App Store. Apple-device users who want a general-purpose market watchlist and charting app.
SiBolsa BMV’s official platform for real-time and historical market and financial information, including local and SIC issuer information, historical closes, charts, markets, news, and portfolios. A 15-day demo is advertised; the page does not establish that ongoing use is free. People who need a more extensive market-information service and are willing to check the current contract terms.

These descriptions are not a verified, symbol-by-symbol coverage or quote-speed comparison. In particular, general claims about stocks do not show that a tracker supports every BMV or BIVA listing you follow.

Why Bolsapp is the strongest documented free local option

Bolsapp’s Google Play listing identifies Grupo Bolsa Mexicana de Valores as the developer and says the app is designed to help users learn about the Mexican stock market. It describes four areas: issuers, brokerage houses, investment funds listed on the BMV, and BMV Digital educational content. The issuer section includes favorite-stock tracking, performance graphs, financial indicators, and information on local shares, FIBRAs, and ETFs. The listing reports an update on August 25, 2026.

That makes Bolsapp a sensible first app to try if your priority is Mexico-focused issuer information. The listing supports describing it as a tracker and information source; it does not establish trade execution, brokerage-account connections, tax calculations, or complete coverage of BMV and BIVA symbols. Its description of the app as free is the publisher’s product positioning, not independent evidence of quote accuracy or completeness. Check the Google Play listing for current availability and details.

When Apple Bolsa may be enough

Apple’s Bolsa app is a free general-purpose alternative rather than a Mexico-specific service. The Mexico App Store listing describes watchlists for securities, indices, mutual and exchange-traded funds, and currencies, along with symbol quotes, interactive charts across different periods, and business news. It lists support for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.

The listing does not promise support for every Mexican security. Search for the exact ticker you own or follow before relying on Bolsa for it; if it is missing, or its quote does not match the venue you need, the app may not meet your local-market tracking needs. See Apple’s Mexico App Store listing for its current description.

What SiBolsa offers—and why it is not confirmed free

BMV describes SiBolsa as its official platform for real-time and historical market and financial information. Its product page lists local issuer information, historical closing data, charts, markets, news, portfolios, and issuer information for both the local market and the Global Market (SIC). It distinguishes a Basic profile for the local capital market from a Plus profile that also includes the SIC.

SiBolsa is worth considering if your need goes beyond a basic watchlist, but BMV’s page directs users to contract the service and advertises a 15-day demo. That does not establish free access after the demo. Check the current terms and pricing before treating it as a no-cost alternative. Review BMV’s SiBolsa page.

How to choose a tracker for Mexican stocks

  1. Test your exact symbols. Search for every share, FIBRA, ETF, or other instrument you intend to follow, including the relevant BMV or BIVA listing. Do not infer coverage from a general statement that an app supports stocks.
  2. Check the quote for each symbol. Find out whether the displayed price is real-time, delayed, historical, or unavailable. SiBolsa advertises real-time and historical capabilities; the reviewed free-app descriptions do not provide a comparable per-ticker timing table.
  3. Match the tool to the job. A watchlist or quote viewer is not the same thing as portfolio accounting or a brokerage account. Confirm separately whether you need transaction imports, manual trade entry, performance calculations, or trade execution; the app descriptions above do not establish those capabilities.
  4. Compare analysis features with your needs. Bolsapp describes performance graphs and financial indicators; Apple Bolsa describes interactive charts. If you only need to monitor a few prices, a simpler watchlist may be sufficient.
  5. Confirm platform and ongoing cost. Check whether the app works on your device and whether the particular features you need remain free. Apple Bolsa is listed as free in Mexico, while SiBolsa’s public page advertises a demo without confirming ongoing free use.

Other names investors mention—and what to verify

In a discussion in r/MexicoFinanciero about portfolio tracking, users mentioned Yahoo Finance, Investing.com, Google Sheets, Sharesight, and Snowball Analytics as parts of their workflows. One commenter reported ticker and currency limitations with Yahoo Finance and Investing.com; another described entering transactions manually in Sharesight. These are individual reports, not verified or universal product limitations.

If you test one of these tools, check whether it recognizes your exact ticker and venue, displays the correct currency, and records holdings the way you expect. Also determine whether transactions sync or must be entered manually. The discussion does not establish current Mexican-symbol coverage, pricing, or features for these services. Read the user discussion as anecdotal context, not as product documentation.

A practical way to validate your choice

Before moving your routine tracking to a new app, build a small watchlist with the symbols you actually care about. For each one, confirm that the app identifies the intended instrument and venue, note the time of the displayed quote, and compare its chart or history with the information you normally rely on. If a symbol is absent or the quote timing is unclear, treat that as a limitation rather than assuming the app covers the market comprehensively.
