The offers below are an archived, evidence-based record of what was advertised; none should be treated as a live deal. Proton’s official Black Friday page now says the promotion is over.
For the 2025 event, pCloud has the clearest first-party evidence for a large lifetime-storage promotion. Proton Drive, Sync.com, Internxt and NordLocker offers were reported by secondary deal coverage and require more caution about renewal and eligibility. Google One’s strongest located Indian promotion was a Diwali offer, not a Black Friday sale.
2025 cloud-storage offers at a glance
| Provider | Reported or official offer | Offer type | Validity | Evidence and status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| pCloud | 5 TB lifetime storage, with related products promoted alongside it; deal coverage cited approximately $599 for a bundle | One-time lifetime plan or bundle | 13–30 November 2025 | Official pCloud announcement; expired |
| Proton Drive | 60% off Drive Plus for 12 months, reported at about $1.99 per month | First-year subscription discount | Reported through 5 January 2026 | Secondary deal report; expired and India price not established |
| Sync.com | 50% off Personal and Solo plans, described as “for life”; 1 TB reportedly from about $6 per month | Recurring subscription discount | 2025 promotion; exact end date not established | Secondary report; terms require verification and the offer is expired |
| Internxt | Up to 90% off annual and lifetime plans, reportedly from about $13 per year | Annual or lifetime promotion | Reported through 3 January 2026 | Secondary report; exact official checkout terms not established |
| NordLocker | Up to 53% off a yearly 2 TB plan plus three extra months | Annual subscription promotion | 2025 promotion; exact end date not established | Secondary report; expired |
| Google One | No located conventional Black Friday offer; India had a separate Diwali promotion reportedly starting at ₹11 for three months, with tiers up to 2 TB | Festive introductory promotion | Diwali 2025 | Secondary report; not a Black Friday deal |
Dollar figures above are not Indian checkout prices. Taxes, foreign-exchange charges, billing country, card type and eligibility can change the amount an Indian customer actually pays.
Which 2025 offer was best?
- Best large one-time purchase: pCloud’s 5 TB lifetime promotion, if you accepted service-lifetime risk and wanted several terabytes.
- Best privacy-led subscription: Proton Drive, provided the reported first-year discount and renewal price suited you.
- Best potential recurring discount: Sync.com, but only after confirming that “50% off for life” covered your account and renewals.
- Best Google Photos and Gmail fit: Google One. Its relevant 2025 Indian promotion was Diwali, not Black Friday.
- Lowest reported headline price: Internxt, although a large percentage discount does not establish the best reliability or long-term value.
Deal-by-deal analysis
pCloud: the lifetime-storage proposition
pCloud’s official announcement, dated 14 November 2025, stated that its flagship campaign ran from 13 to 30 November and centred on 5 TB of lifetime storage. Deal coverage described a storage, encryption and password-manager bundle at approximately $599, but the exact final checkout price and bundle composition should be attributed to that coverage and checked against archived terms.
#1 Best Overall
- Easily store and access 2TB to content on the go with the Seagate Portable Drive, a USB external hard drive
- Designed to work with Windows or Mac computers, this external hard drive makes backup a snap just drag and drop
- To get set up, connect the portable hard drive to a computer for automatic recognition no software required
- This USB drive provides plug and play simplicity with the included 18 inch USB 3.0 cable
- The available storage capacity may vary.
A lifetime plan is an upfront purchase for the lifetime of the account or service, not a legal promise that storage will exist for the buyer’s personal lifetime. It can be economical over many years, but you bear the provider’s future business, product and support risk. pCloud’s encryption product should be treated separately from ordinary storage; do not assume every file is automatically zero-knowledge encrypted.
Best for: large personal libraries, video collections and buyers avoiding recurring bills. Avoid if: you need monthly cancellation, default client-side encryption or a second-provider-free backup strategy.
Proton Drive: privacy with a discounted first year
Proton’s current pricing page shows a free 5 GB tier and a paid 200 GB Drive Plus tier. A deal report described 60% off Drive Plus for 12 months, reportedly around $1.99 monthly and valid until 5 January 2026. That is a first-year promotion, not a permanent price; the ordinary renewal amount, billing currency and India-specific eligibility must be checked in the account checkout.
Proton’s Black Friday page also advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee and says seasonal promotions return around a future Black Friday/Cyber Monday period. Proton positions Drive around encrypted storage, syncing, photo backup and its broader privacy ecosystem.

- Designed to work with Windows or Mac computers, this external hard drive makes backup a snap just drag and drop
- To get set up, connect the portable hard drive to a computer for automatic recognition software required

Sync.com: a reported “50% off for life” subscription
Secondary 2025 coverage described 50% off Sync.com Personal and Solo plans, allegedly for life, with 1 TB starting around $6 per month. This wording must not be confused with lifetime storage: it describes a recurring subscription whose price may remain discounted.
Before relying on such an offer, confirm whether it is limited to new customers, whether the discount survives renewal and plan changes, whether family or business tiers qualify, and whether taxes are included. A plan change could potentially remove an account-specific promotion.
Best for: someone who wants recurring privacy-oriented storage and has verified the contract terms. Avoid if: you want a one-time purchase or guaranteed Indian-rupee billing.
Internxt: a large reported percentage discount
Deal coverage reported up to 90% off Internxt annual and lifetime plans, with prices reportedly beginning around $13 per year and an end date of 3 January 2026. Those figures are secondary-source signals, not independently confirmed final Indian prices or archived vendor terms.
The headline percentage says little about long-term value. Assess desktop and mobile performance, support, sharing, recovery tools and the provider’s maturity before committing irreplaceable data. A lifetime option still carries service-continuity risk and is not a substitute for an independent backup.

- The available storage capacity may vary.
NordLocker: annual storage with extra months
Secondary reporting described up to 53% off a yearly 2 TB NordLocker plan, with three additional months. Confirm whether the promotion was storage-only, whether other Nord Security products were bundled, and whether the extra months were applied automatically. The “up to” wording means the maximum discount may have applied only to a particular tier.
Best for: customers already using the Nord Security ecosystem. Avoid if: you need a broad Google Drive-style collaboration suite or a lifetime plan.

Google accounts include up to 15 GB shared across Drive, Gmail and Photos. Google’s India plan information shows paid storage beginning at 100 GB, with larger tiers including 2 TB and 5 TB; see the official plan page. A separate Moneycontrol report described a Diwali 2025 promotion starting at ₹11 for the first three months and extending up to 2 TB. It should be labelled a Diwali offer, not a Black Friday deal.
Google One renews automatically unless cancelled. Because the quota is shared, a failed renewal or downgrade can affect Gmail, Drive and Photos, not just new uploads. Google explains the consequences in its India help documentation.
Best for: Android, Google Photos, Gmail and Drive users who value convenience. Avoid if: you want provider-independent, end-to-end encrypted storage or a one-time payment.

Lifetime storage versus a discounted subscription
Compare these products over the period you expect to use them. A one-time lifetime payment can beat recurring billing after its break-even point, but that calculation depends on the original currency, taxes, exchange rates and the subscription’s renewal price.
- Record the actual checkout total, including tax and any foreign-exchange fee.
- For a subscription, add the discounted first period and every later renewal at the standard price.
- Calculate totals for one, three and five years rather than comparing percentage discounts.
- Check whether storage, encryption and password-manager features are separate products.
- Keep an independent copy of important files; lifetime storage is still one provider and one account.
“50% off for life” belongs in the recurring-subscription column. It is not equivalent to pCloud’s upfront lifetime-storage offer.
How Indian buyers should check an offer
- Confirm that the checkout accepts your country, billing address and card; a website loading in India does not prove offer eligibility.
- Record the displayed currency and final tax-inclusive total. Do not convert a US dollar figure into a promised rupee price.
- Check for automatic renewal, the post-promotion price and the date the renewal occurs.
- Look for new-customer restrictions, plan-change restrictions and family or business exclusions.
- Check refund terms, especially for lifetime purchases. Proton’s Black Friday page states a 30-day money-back guarantee; other offers require their own terms.
- Ask where support, data processing and storage infrastructure are located if jurisdiction matters to you.
- Verify phone-photo backup, version history, trash retention, file-size limits and sharing controls for your actual devices.
- Do not assume UPI, rupee billing, local GST treatment or app-store availability without seeing it at checkout.
What happens after cancellation or a failed renewal?
Subscription services commonly stop new uploads or syncing when an account is unpaid or over quota, but the retention period and deletion policy vary. Export important data before cancelling and read the provider’s current terms.
Google’s case is especially consequential because one quota covers Gmail, Drive and Photos. Exceeding the limit can interrupt those services, as explained by Google’s support page. Sync services also deserve caution: deleting a file or suffering ransomware in a synced folder can propagate the change across devices. Version history and trash are recovery aids, not a complete backup.
Current alternatives after Black Friday 2025
- Google One: use the current India plan page if you need integrated Gmail, Drive and Photos storage.
- Proton Drive: the free 5 GB tier is available, while paid pricing is listed on Proton’s official page.
- pCloud: its current promotional page advertises up to 45% off selected 100 GB, 1 TB and 5 TB offers through 31 December 2026. That is a current promotion, not evidence that the 2025 Black Friday price remains active.
- Annual billing: compare the provider’s ordinary annual plan with monthly billing when no promotion is live.
- Independent backup: pair cloud storage with an external SSD, NAS or another provider for irreplaceable files.
Buying recommendation
Choose Google One when Google Photos, Gmail and Android convenience matter most. Choose Proton Drive when privacy is the priority and you can afford the post-discount renewal. Choose pCloud for a large one-time purchase after accepting service-lifetime risk. Choose Sync.com only after confirming exactly what its reported recurring discount covers. Consider Internxt for price-sensitive experimentation, not solely because its reported percentage discount was largest. Choose NordLocker when its wider security ecosystem is useful.
