For the latest quarter reported by both companies, Q2 2026, ASML reported €9.326 billion in total net sales and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) reported US$40.20 billion in net revenue. Those figures are in different currencies, so their raw bar heights are not directly comparable.

Latest common quarter: Q2 2026

Company Reported metric Revenue Quarter ended
ASML Total net sales €9.326 billion June 28, 2026
TSMC Net revenue US$40.20 billion June 30, 2026

ASML’s Q2 2026 release reports results primarily under US GAAP. TSMC’s official quarterly results page labels its figure net revenue. Preserve those issuer-specific metric labels rather than implying that the measures or financial statements are perfectly interchangeable. ASML Q2 2026 results · TSMC Q2 2026 results

How to read a revenue bar chart

A chart with one bar for each company needs to make its currency treatment explicit. If it uses each issuer’s reported currency, separate the bars by currency or use clearly separated panels; a shared numerical axis would mix euros and US dollars. Alternatively, a chart can convert both figures to one currency, but it must disclose the exchange rate, date and conversion method. Conversion changes the displayed comparison, not the companies’ reported results.

Keep the metric name, unit and quarter-end date visible alongside each value. ASML’s quarter ended June 28, while TSMC’s ended June 30; both are reported as Q2 2026, but they do not have the same quarter-end date.

What an eight-quarter chart can and cannot show

The filename suggests a limit of eight plotted observations, but it does not establish which quarters the chart should cover. The verified figures here establish only the latest quarter common to both companies, Q2 2026. An eight-quarter comparison needs a stated start and end quarter and direct verification of every historical value against each company’s reporting materials. Do not fill in missing quarters or present a partial series as a complete eight-quarter comparison.

Q3 2026 was not yet reported

As of October 3, 2026, Q2 2026 was the latest quarter with results available from both companies. ASML’s results archive listed Q3 2026 results for October 14, 2026, a date still in the future at that cutoff. Q3 guidance is not actual revenue and should not be plotted as a reported result. See ASML’s quarterly-results archive.

What the figures do not establish

Revenue alone does not establish which company is more profitable, more valuable, has greater market share, or caused changes in the other company’s results. The chart compares two reported revenue figures, with different currencies and issuer-defined metric labels; broader conclusions require other evidence.

ASML President and CEO Christophe Fouquet said of Q2: “Our second-quarter total net sales were €9.3 billion and gross margin came in at 54.0%, both above guidance, driven primarily by higher than expected Installed Base Management sales.” ASML Q2 2026 results
