This Apple Black Friday deal has expired. Apple’s 2025 U.S. Shopping Event ran from November 28 through December 1, 2025. Customers who bought qualifying products from Apple received an Apple Gift Card worth $25 to $250. The maximum applied only to select MacBook Pro models with M4 Pro or M4 Max chips—it was not an instant discount and did not apply to every Mac, iPhone or iPad.
As of August 18, 2026, Apple’s 2026 Black Friday terms had not been announced in the sources reviewed. Treat the details below as historical 2025 terms, not a current offer.

The following U.S. products were reported as qualifying for Apple Gift Cards during the 2025 event. Exact configuration mattered, particularly for Macs, accessories and Beats products.

What “up to $250” really meant
The headline maximum was limited to qualifying high-end MacBook Pro configurations. It did not mean that every MacBook Pro, or every Apple product, came with a $250 card. For context, the 13-inch MacBook Air received $175, the 15-inch MacBook Air received $200, the iMac received $150 and the Mac mini received $100. The iPhone maximum was $75, while many accessories received only $25.
Apple’s offer was therefore best understood as promotional store credit with a qualifying purchase, not a $250 reduction in the MacBook Pro’s checkout price.

Was it a discount or a gift?
The buyer paid the Apple purchase price and received credit for a later Apple purchase. The promotional card was reported as being delivered by email. It could be used for eligible Apple products and accessories, as well as Apple services and digital content subject to Apple’s U.S. terms.
Apple’s U.S. Apple Store Gift Card terms say cards can be used at Apple retail stores, Apple.com, the Apple Store app and by phone. Apple’s broader gift-card terms cover eligible apps, subscriptions, media and services.

The card was not intended to reduce the price of the qualifying device at the same checkout. It also could not generally be used at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Costco or another third-party retailer.
Where the 2025 event was available
The U.S. promotion was available through Apple retail stores, Apple.com and the Apple Store app. The event also ran in several other countries, but the dollar amounts in this article are U.S.-specific and should not be copied into coverage for another region.

Important exclusions and restrictions
- Newer models: The iPhone 17 lineup, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3, M5 MacBook Pro, M5 iPad Pro and M5 Vision Pro were excluded from the reported 2025 promotion.
- Refurbished products: Refurbished Apple products did not qualify.
- Education pricing: The promotion could not be combined with educational pricing, according to coverage of the event restrictions. Apple’s general shopping policies are available at Apple’s policy page.
- Carrier-connected iPhones: Promotional material reported that carrier-connected iPhone purchases were excluded. A qualifying iPhone model was not automatically eligible in every purchase arrangement.
- Exact configuration: “MacBook Pro” or “iPad Air” was too broad a description. Chip, size, storage, memory and connectivity could affect eligibility.
- Gift-card limitations: Apple’s terms generally prohibit cash redemption, resale and using a gift card to buy another gift card, except where required by law.
- Returns: Returning the qualifying product may require the promotional card to be returned or its value to be deducted from the refund. Do not assume the card can be kept after returning the device; the applicable event terms control.
Is Apple direct better than Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart or Costco?
Not automatically. The relevant comparison is Apple’s price minus the gift card’s realistic value versus the exact equivalent product’s price at a retailer.
Apple effective cost = Apple purchase price − realistic Apple Gift Card value
Retailer effective cost = retailer price − applicable rewards or discountsA gift card is worth its full face value only if you were already likely to spend that amount with Apple. Discount its value if you may forget to use it, would not otherwise buy Apple services or accessories, or would need to spend additional money to use the balance.

During the 2025 season, coverage noted that Amazon and other resellers often offered larger immediate discounts on products such as MacBook Air and AirPods. That does not establish that every retailer or every configuration was cheaper. Match the chip, screen size, memory, storage, Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity, condition and warranty before comparing prices.
Useful places to check include the Apple Store, Amazon’s Apple storefront, Best Buy’s Apple selection, Walmart electronics and Costco electronics. Retail prices change, and no reliable 2026 Black Friday prices were established in the reviewed sources.
