The largest single-device reduction was $150 on a specialized 1TB iPad Pro configuration.
Presidents’ Day fell on February 16, 2026. Inventory, sellers, colors and configurations could change quickly, and none of these prices is verified as live now.
What the “Apple Presidents’ Day sale” actually was
The headline described a group of Apple-product markdowns available through Amazon during the Presidents’ Day shopping period. It did not establish an official Apple promotion or an Apple-run sale. The original report was published February 14, 2026, and listed Amazon purchase destinations. The original deal report also noted that prices and stock could move quickly.
“By hundreds” is promotional shorthand for combined savings across several purchases. Individual reductions in the list ranged from $30 to $150; no single device was hundreds of dollars below its reported comparison price.

Best iPad deal: the 11-inch iPad Air M3 at $489
For most buyers, the M3 iPad Air was the standout. The reported configuration paired 128GB storage with an 11-inch Liquid Retina display, Wi‑Fi 6E, USB-C, Apple Intelligence support and compatibility with Apple Pencil USB-C and Apple Pencil Pro. That gives it substantially more performance headroom than the base iPad without the Pro model’s price.
There is an important generation distinction. The February deal concerned the M3 iPad Air. Apple’s later store pages identify the current iPad Air as an M4 model starting at $749, so the discounted M3 should not be described as the current generation. Verdict: Buy if a genuine $489 listing for that exact configuration reappears and you want a capable tablet for work, study, creative apps or Apple Intelligence.
When the iPad Pro discount made sense
11-inch M5 Pro at $899
The reported $899 Space Black model included Apple’s M5 chip, a Tandem OLED display and ProMotion refresh rates up to 120Hz. Those advantages matter for professional video, illustration, music, demanding productivity and other sustained workloads. For browsing, streaming, note-taking and casual games, the premium is difficult to justify.
The $100 reduction had reportedly been available for weeks, so it was not necessarily a Presidents’ Day-only price.

1TB M5 Pro with nano-texture glass at $1,549
This was the largest single discount in the list—$150—but also a niche purchase. A 1TB capacity and nano-texture display can be useful for large media libraries or specialized visual work; they add little value to an ordinary household tablet. The size of the dollar discount does not make the configuration economical for casual use.
A separate $799 silver iPad Pro listing was already sold out when the report was published, illustrating why a headline price may not be obtainable.
Other iPad choices
Base iPad at $299
The 11-inch A16 iPad was the lowest-cost option listed. It is appropriate for streaming, web browsing, reading, video calls and casual games. Apple’s current base iPad page shows an A16 model from $449, but that is a current regular price, not the February deal’s reference price: Apple iPad buying page.

iPad mini at $399
The 8.3-inch A17 Pro iPad mini combined a $100 reported reduction with a format that is easier to hold and travel with. Choose it when portability matters more than a large workspace. Apple currently lists the iPad mini from $599 and identifies Apple Intelligence support on its comparison pages: Apple iPad comparison page.

The 42mm aluminum GPS Series 11 was reported at $299, a $100 reduction (25% against the comparison price in the article). GPS is generally the sensible choice for people who carry an iPhone, because the watch can use the phone for connectivity. The Series 11 coverage highlighted sleep score, hypertension notifications and up to 24 hours of battery life. Health notifications are monitoring features, not diagnoses, and availability can vary by country, hardware and software.

When cellular is worth paying for
The $399 GPS + Cellular version received the same $100 reduction. Cellular is useful for calls, messages and data when you regularly exercise or travel without your iPhone. It can also require a separate carrier plan, and compatibility depends on the carrier and country. If your phone is normally nearby, GPS avoids that extra cost.
SE 3: lower entry price, smaller discount
The 40mm Apple Watch SE 3 prices were $219 for GPS and $269 for GPS + Cellular, each $30 below the reported comparison price. They can be sensible for basic activity, heart-rate, sleep and notification functions when budget is the priority, but the percentage and dollar savings were weaker than Series 11’s. How to choose by workload
Pick the base iPad if price is the deciding factor
- Your use is mainly streaming, browsing, reading, calls and casual gaming.
- You do not need ProMotion, OLED contrast or sustained professional performance.
Pick the iPad Air for the usual sweet spot
- You want M-series performance, Apple Intelligence and Apple Pencil Pro support.
- You need more headroom than the base iPad but do not have a professional Pro workload.
Pick the iPad mini for portability
- An 8.3-inch screen is easier to hold and carry than an 11-inch tablet.
- You accept less workspace and a higher price than the base iPad.
Pick the iPad Pro only for demanding work
- You will use the Tandem OLED display, 120Hz ProMotion and M5 performance for professional creative or multitasking work.
- You can justify the total cost, not merely the size of the discount.
Pick Series 11 GPS for most watch buyers
- You want the newer mainstream health and fitness experience and normally keep an iPhone nearby.
- You do not want recurring cellular service charges.
Pick SE 3 when the lowest entry price matters
- Basic tracking and notifications are enough.
- You accept fewer premium features and a smaller reported discount.
Checks to make before buying a similar listing
- Match the exact chip, screen size, storage, case size, color and connectivity shown in the listing to the advertised deal.
- Check whether the item is sold and fulfilled by Amazon, Apple-authorized inventory or a marketplace seller, and review the warranty and return terms.
- Confirm delivery timing; a listed price may remain visible after immediate stock is gone.
- For cellular watches, verify carrier support and the recurring plan cost before comparing the price with GPS.
- Compare the final price with Apple’s current model pages so an older generation is not mistaken for the newest one.
Amazon prices, inventory and seller status can change rapidly. “Save” percentages may use a list price rather than the lowest recent market price, and the original report did not establish an end date for every offer.
Bottom line
The promotion was worthwhile for selected configurations, especially the $489 M3 iPad Air and $299 Series 11 GPS—if those historical prices were still available at the time. The M5 iPad Pro deals made sense only for buyers with a specific professional workload, while the SE 3’s $30 reduction was mainly a budget-entry play. Read “hundreds” as combined savings across products, not hundreds off every Apple device.
