AppleInsider reported the following Amazon U.S. prices on December 26, 2025. Every listed configuration was described as $250 below its reported regular price.

Is the $749.99 deal still available?
There is no reliable evidence that the original $749.99 new-product price remains active. The base listing, ASIN B0DZDC3WW5, is still identifiable at Amazon, but the accessible page showed a used “Like New” option sold by Amazon Resale rather than confirming the historical new-product price. The 13-inch 16GB/512GB model is identifiable as ASIN B0DZD96R5S at Amazon; its accessible listing data showed Amazon.com as seller but no dependable current deal price. The 15-inch 16GB/256GB Sky Blue model is at Amazon.
Amazon prices can change by configuration, color, inventory and seller. Treat $749.99 as the price reported for December 26, 2025, not as a present-day quote.

Which configuration offered the best value?
Best lowest-cost choice: 13-inch, 16GB/256GB
At the reported $749.99, the base 13-inch model was the least expensive option and a strong fit for schoolwork, office applications, browsing, video calls, streaming and light photo editing. Its 256GB SSD is the compromise. Photos, video, games and large applications can consume that capacity quickly, and the internal drive cannot be upgraded later.
Best balance: 13-inch, 16GB/512GB
The reported $949 13-inch model doubled storage without moving to 24GB of memory. It was the more practical long-term choice for buyers who keep files locally or expect to use the laptop for several years.
When 24GB makes sense
Choose a 24GB configuration when your normal workload includes many applications and browser tabs, photo or video projects, large development environments, virtual machines, containers, or memory-intensive creative and AI software. For ordinary productivity, 16GB is generally sufficient. Apple’s unified memory is shared by the processor and graphics system and is not user-upgradeable.

Should you buy the 13-inch or 15-inch Air?

In the reported lineup, comparable 15-inch configurations cost roughly $200 more than 13-inch versions. The premium primarily buys a larger display and chassis, not a fundamentally different processor class. Apple describes both sizes on its current MacBook Air page and positions the 15-inch model for additional onscreen space.
What the M4 model includes
The linked 13-inch product information identifies an Apple M4 chip with a 10-core CPU, an 8-core GPU on the base configuration and a 16-core Neural Engine. It lists 16GB unified memory, a 256GB SSD, a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display at 2560-by-1664 resolution and 500 nits, a 12MP Center Stage camera, MagSafe 3 charging, two Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports, a headphone jack and Wi-Fi 6E. The listing claims up to 18 hours of battery life and support for up to two external displays. Battery life varies with workload, settings and software, and display support depends on the specific configuration and requirements.

How to verify an Amazon listing before paying
- Confirm the chip, GPU, unified-memory capacity and SSD size in the selected configuration.
- Check the color; the reported Silver and Sky Blue offers do not establish that every color had the same price.
- Confirm that the condition is new rather than used, renewed or refurbished.
- Review the seller and fulfillment method. A listing can contain multiple offers for the same ASIN.
- Check the delivery date, return terms and applicable warranty information.
- Look at the price in the cart and immediately before payment; the discount may disappear or apply only to one offer.
Alternatives from the same December 2025 report
The coverage also listed a 15-inch M3 MacBook Air with 16GB/512GB for $999, a 15-inch M3 with 24GB/512GB for $1,099, and a refurbished 13-inch M1 with 8GB/256GB for $429. B&H Photo was reported to have a 13-inch M4 with 24GB/1TB for $1,299. These were prices reported at the time, not verified current offers.
An older M3 or refurbished M1 can be the better value when its memory and storage match your needs and your workload is modest. Conversely, the current Apple page now promotes the M5 MacBook Air, which is the relevant option for buyers who prioritize the newest generation and direct Apple purchasing over the lowest historical price.

The December 2025 $749.99 price was compelling for a new 13-inch M4 MacBook Air with 16GB unified memory, provided 256GB of storage was enough. The 13-inch 16GB/512GB model was the safer all-purpose choice for long-term local storage, while 24GB models served demanding technical and creative workloads. Pick the 15-inch version when screen area matters more than portability and minimum cost. In August 2026, however, buy only after the exact Amazon offer shows the expected configuration, condition, seller and price at checkout.
