Important date note: These are historical June 2025 prices, not live October 2026 offers. Laptop Mag’s roundup was updated June 18, 2025, ahead of Amazon’s four-day Prime Day, which ran July 8–11, 2025. The useful question is not whether every markdown was exceptional, but which prices were strong enough to justify buying before July.
The recommendations below apply a consistent test: unusually low pricing, a meaningful saving, a worthwhile configuration, credible product evidence and a clear reason not to wait. Amazon prices, inventory and seller terms can change without notice.

Buy in June or wait for Prime Day?
| Deal type | Best move | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Documented record or near-record price | Buy if you need the item | A similar Prime Day price is possible, but not guaranteed, and inventory can disappear. |
| Amazon-owned hardware | Usually wait | Fire TV, Kindle, Luna and remotes are frequently discounted during Amazon events. |
| Small discount on a commonly sale-priced product | Wait | A crossed-out list price does not prove an unusual bargain. |
| Essential purchase needed before July | Buy after verification | The value of having the product now can exceed a speculative future saving. |
| Third-party seller or unclear configuration | Verify first | Seller, warranty, return policy and specifications can change the economics. |
Amazon announced that Prime Day 2025 would run July 8–11 with millions of deals, limited-time drops and themed daily offers (Amazon’s announcement). That creates more opportunities, not a promise that every June price will be beaten.
Laptop deals
Apple M4 MacBook Air
Laptop Mag cited one M4 MacBook Air configuration at $1,049, $150 off, and described it as Amazon’s lowest price at the time. Its quick links also showed $849, which almost certainly represented a different storage configuration. Do not compare those figures without matching screen size, memory, storage, seller and warranty. The deal is strongest for someone who wants a current Apple laptop and can use the discounted configuration without immediately paying for upgrades. Product context is available from Apple.
Acer Aspire 5 15
The cited price was $599 after $100 off, reportedly only $3 above the model’s record low. “Aspire 5” covers many processors, RAM amounts, storage types and display configurations, so the price is meaningful only after checking the exact listing. It was positioned for school, office and remote work rather than demanding gaming. Compare the configuration with Acer’s range at Acer.
Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro
Laptop Mag listed $979 after $470 off and called it a lowest-ever price for that configuration. Treat that as an attributed historical claim, not a guarantee. The appeal was its AMOLED display and battery life; Laptop Mag noted it had not reviewed that exact model at launch. Confirm processor, RAM, storage, screen size and seller at Samsung.

Gaming laptops, games and controllers
Asus TUF Gaming A16 with RTX 4060
At $1,299 after $300 off, this was one of the more substantial laptop savings. The listed configuration included an RTX 4060. Laptop Mag’s supporting review evidence came partly from the smaller TUF Gaming A14 sibling, so do not treat A14 testing as testing of this A16. Check GPU wattage, display resolution and refresh rate, RAM upgradeability and storage before buying.
No Man’s Sky for Nintendo Switch
The June snapshot was $32, with a $28 advertised saving. Confirm whether the listing is physical or digital and that it is the Switch edition you want; a low price on a different platform or edition is not comparable.
Amazon Luna Wireless Controller
Prime members could find the controller at $39. It makes sense mainly for Luna or other explicitly compatible platforms. Cloud-gaming availability and features vary by country, so check support before paying for hardware.
Tablets and phones
11-inch iPad with A16
The $299 price was $50 below the cited comparison price. It was the practical mainstream tablet choice in the list. Check storage, Wi-Fi versus cellular connectivity and whether a charger, keyboard or stylus is included. Apple’s current tablet range is at Apple.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE
At $449 after $50 off, this was the Android alternative. Compare storage, included accessories and expected software support with the iPad before deciding; the ecosystems and app selections differ. See Samsung’s tablet pages.
M4 iPad Pro 13-inch
Laptop Mag cited $1,099, $111 off, through PC Richard & Son. This was not necessarily an Amazon-sold listing. Verify the retailer, fulfillment, return window and warranty, and decide whether an OLED professional tablet is justified for your work.
Samsung Galaxy A16 5G
The $175 price represented a $25 saving. Before purchase, confirm that the phone is unlocked, supports the bands used by your U.S. carrier, has the advertised storage and comes with a usable warranty. Samsung’s phone range is at Samsung.
Unlocked Galaxy S25 Ultra
The cited price was $1,119 after $300 off. This is a large dollar reduction, but the real value depends on storage, trade-in requirements, financing, seller identity and warranty source. “Unlocked” should be verified in the listing rather than inferred from the product title.

Headphones and earbuds
- AirPods 4 at $99: Best suited to Apple users seeking a current, simple earbud option; check whether the listing is the ANC or non-ANC version.
- AirPods Pro 2 at $169: The stronger choice when active noise cancellation, in-ear fit and Apple-device switching matter.
- Beats Solo 4 at $129: A $70 saving on an on-ear design; do not buy it expecting AirPods Pro-style isolation.
- Beats Studio Pro at $179: A $170 advertised saving on over-ear headphones. Confirm generation, included accessories and return terms because older stock can be repeatedly discounted.
For all four, match the fit, noise cancellation, multipoint behavior, battery and ecosystem support to your devices. Manufacturer pages are available for AirPods and Beats.

Fire TV, remote and soundbar
The Alexa Voice Remote Pro appeared at approximately $24–$25. Compatibility is not universal: check the exact Fire TV streamer, television, soundbar or receiver before ordering. The 50-inch Fire TV 4-Series was $259 after $140 off. Screen size alone says nothing about brightness, HDR, motion handling, HDMI ports or gaming performance. The Fire TV Soundbar Plus was $389 for Prime members after a $100 saving; verify whether your listing includes a subwoofer or rear speakers, and distinguish virtual surround from a true multi-speaker package. Browse Amazon Fire TV for current specifications.
Kindle bundles
Laptop Mag listed a Kindle Paperwhite Kids two-pack at $340 and a Kindle Scribe two-pack at $860. Bundles can be poor value if you do not need two devices, Kids+ access or included accessories. Compare the bundle with separate units, warranty coverage and the return policy at Amazon Kindle.
Prime and Prime for Young Adults
The June 2025 offers cited a six-month trial for eligible students or young adults, followed by $7.49 per month or $69 per year, and a standard 30-day trial followed by $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Amazon described Prime for Young Adults as covering ages 18–24 in its June announcement. Eligibility, prices and benefits can change; check Prime for Young Adults and Prime at signup. Trials generally convert to paid memberships unless canceled, so record the renewal date. Joining solely to unlock one modest discount is rarely a sound personal-finance decision.

Amazon Music Unlimited
Laptop Mag reported a four-month offer for non-Prime members. Verify that you qualify as a new or returning subscriber, check the post-trial price at Amazon Music and cancel before renewal if you do not intend to continue.
How to verify any historical or live deal
- Match the exact model number, processor, RAM, storage, screen and connectivity.
- Identify the seller and whether Amazon or another party handles fulfillment.
- Check whether Prime, a coupon, activation, financing or a trade-in is required.
- Compare the price with the manufacturer and at least one major competing retailer.
- Use recent price history where available; a crossed-out “was” price is not proof of normal market value.
- Read the return window, warranty provider and condition description.
- For phones and tablets, verify unlocked status, carrier bands and cellular versus Wi-Fi.
- For TVs and soundbars, check refresh rate, HDR, HDMI features, subwoofer and speaker contents.
- Record the date you verified the price because Amazon can change it or sell out without notice.
What the discount does not tell you
- A percentage off can be calculated from an inflated list price rather than a recent selling price.
- A “lowest ever” statement is meaningful only for the same retailer, region and configuration.
- Review evidence may apply to a related model, as with the TUF A14 review used alongside the A16 recommendation.
- A third-party listing is not equivalent to an Amazon-sold listing; warranty and returns can differ.
- Amazon-owned devices often receive deeper event pricing, making a small June discount less compelling.
For independent context on June 2025 promotions across additional categories, TODAY’s June roundup was published June 16, 2025.
The Bottom Line
The June 2025 standouts were the M4 MacBook Air at its cited configuration-specific low, the Acer Aspire 5 near its record price, the $979 Galaxy Book 4 Pro, the $1,299 RTX 4060 TUF A16, AirPods Pro 2 at $169 and the $299 A16 iPad. Amazon hardware and modest markdowns were better candidates for waiting. None of these June prices should be treated as live today.
