What the $62.99 AirTag deal included
The offer applied to Apple’s first-generation AirTag four-pack on Amazon, identified by ASIN B0D54JZTHY. It did not refer to the newer AirTag 2. MacRumors reported the offer on November 28, 2025.

How strong was the discount?
At $62.99, the four-pack worked out to about $2.22 less per tracker than the $17.97 one-pack price MacRumors also reported for November 28, 2025. The four-pack therefore offered the lower unit price, but only if you had a use for the extra trackers. The one-pack’s reported reference price was $29.
MacRumors described $62.99 as a new best-ever price based on its deal tracking at publication. Treat that as a time-specific price record, not an Apple-certified guarantee that no retailer has ever sold it for less or that it remains the lowest price now. Retail prices can vary by seller, inventory and location, and tax or shipping may affect the checkout total.

Is the deal still available?
The $62.99 price was reported for Black Friday 2025. No current price or availability is established here, so do not rely on it as a live offer. Check the Amazon listing and the final checkout price before buying; confirm the seller, condition and generation as well, since Amazon now lists a newer AirTag 2 four-pack.
When a four-pack makes financial sense
Buy several trackers at once
The four-pack was most useful for someone who expected to track multiple sets of keys, luggage, backpacks, wallets or other household items. It could also be split among family members or given as gifts to people already using Apple devices. Remember to budget for a holder, key ring, luggage tag or other attachment if the item needs one; the tracker itself may not include the mounting solution you want.

Compare the total spend, not only the unit price
If you need just one tracker, paying less overall for a one-pack may be preferable to spending more to get a lower per-unit price. The four-pack’s arithmetic savings only matter if you will use the remaining units. The historical one-pack price was $17.97, but that is not a confirmed current price.
Consider the generation
The $62.99 listing was for the first-generation model. Amazon identifies AirTag 2 as a newer version, but a current AirTag 2 price and a verified specification-by-specification comparison are not available here. Compare the live prices and confirm which generation is in your cart rather than assuming the older deal listing is the latest model. Do not assume an older holder or accessory fits AirTag 2 unless its listing confirms compatibility.

What an AirTag can—and cannot—do
AirTag is designed to help locate attached belongings through Apple’s Find My ecosystem. It is not a standalone GPS tracker with continuous cellular location reporting. Finding an item at a distance depends on the Find My network and nearby compatible Apple devices, so it is not a guarantee of instant location everywhere or a theft-prevention system.
- Phone ecosystem: AirTags are intended primarily for Apple-device users. Android users should not expect the same setup and tracking experience as iPhone or iPad owners.
- Precision finding: The available precision-finding capability depends on compatible Apple hardware and environmental conditions.
- Pets: An AirTag can serve as a supplementary locator attached to a collar, but it is not a substitute for a dedicated pet-tracking service when ongoing location monitoring is needed.
- Privacy: Understand Apple’s unwanted-tracking protections and alerts before attaching an AirTag to shared property or belongings used by another person.
Alternatives depend on the phone you use
For mixed iPhone and Android households, Tile may be worth comparing. Chipolo offers models aimed at different tracking networks, so check the specific model’s compatibility. Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag2 is a more natural fit for Samsung Galaxy users. For active, ongoing pet-location monitoring, compare dedicated GPS pet trackers and their subscription terms. Current prices and feature details for these alternatives are not established here, and no one network is the best fit for every buyer.
