Mortgage Innovation & Technology Live 2026 is scheduled for Tuesday 13 October at etc.venues County Hall in London. AI, open finance, smart data and fraud are reported themes, but Mortgage Strategy’s official event FAQ says the detailed agenda and speaker list are still to come. Treat those topics as an indication of the likely discussion, not as confirmed sessions.
What is Mortgage Innovation & Technology Live?
Mortgage Innovation & Technology Live (MIT Live) is Mortgage Strategy’s conference for mortgage and protection professionals—not a consumer mortgage product launch. It is aimed at people working across brokers, lenders, networks, technology providers and the wider industry.
Mortgage Strategy describes the event as a practical, business-focused gathering about change, compliance, technology adoption and growth. Its official event overview advertises more than 150 delegates, 30 speakers, 12 advisory board members, nine sessions and five CPD hours. Those are organiser-published event figures, not independent measures of technology adoption or industry impact.
When and where is MIT Live 2026?
The event is scheduled for Tuesday 13 October 2026 at etc.venues County Hall, Belvedere Road, London SE1 7GP. The official FAQ gives the hours as 9:30am to 5:00pm.

Mortgage Strategy says delegate passes are free for people who meet its criteria. Places are limited and subject to approval; people outside the criteria may be able to buy a networking pass by contacting the organiser. Check the organiser’s current registration information for eligibility and availability.
What is on the MIT Live 2026 agenda?
The official FAQ says the full agenda and speaker details will be announced in due course. A separate article hosted on bekun.shop under a Mortgage Strategy headline reports that the programme will cover practical AI applications and safeguards, agentic AI in advice and operations, open finance and data sharing, smart data and affordability, digital tools in protection and underwriting, and AI’s role in identifying mortgage fraud and deepfakes. Because the detailed topics come from that secondary-hosted report rather than a published official programme, they should not be treated as confirmed sessions.

Mortgage Strategy separately reported on 11 August 2026 that Mortgage Lab had been named the event’s official AI Knowledge Partner. The report describes its role as testing tools against mortgage use cases and explaining risks as well as opportunities. This partnership announcement does not establish that any particular tool has been independently tested or that specific results will be presented at MIT Live.
Why these reported themes matter to mortgage firms
AI and agentic AI: usefulness depends on oversight
For mortgage businesses, the relevant question is not simply whether AI can automate a task. It is whether a tool performs reliably within a real workflow, makes its limits visible, protects sensitive information and leaves appropriate human oversight in place. Those are practical evaluation questions, not established findings about a particular product or MIT Live session.

Open finance and smart data: access must translate into better decisions
Sharing financial data could be relevant to how lenders and advisers understand a customer’s circumstances and assess affordability. The useful questions are what data is shared, with whose permission, how it is secured, whether it integrates with existing broker and lender systems, and whether it improves the customer’s experience or the quality of a decision. The available event information does not establish adoption levels or measurable lending outcomes.
Fraud and deepfakes: detection is only part of the response
AI-assisted checks may be discussed as a way to identify suspicious applications or manipulated material, but detection tools also need to be assessed for false alerts, missed cases, privacy and security safeguards, and how a human reviewer handles a flag. No independently attributable figure for mortgage-fraud prevalence or AI detection accuracy is established by the cited event material.
Rank #4
Protection and underwriting: integration matters
Digital tools in protection and underwriting, another theme reported by the secondary-hosted article, raise questions about how information moves between advisers, providers and existing systems. A tool’s value depends not only on what it can do, but also on how it fits into a firm’s process and affects the customer and adviser.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the event’s supplier examples do—and do not—show
Mortgage Strategy’s official 2026 awards results list organisations across mortgage submission, origination, product sourcing and protection technology. Examples named in the results include Knowledge Bank, Twenty7tec, One Mortgage System, L&G Ignite and Xplan Mortgage. Awards recognition identifies examples in the supplier ecosystem; it does not show that every organisation is speaking at MIT Live, that its product has been independently tested, or that an award establishes a particular outcome for users.
