To print an Amazon return label, open Your Orders, start a return for the specific item, and follow the return method Amazon offers. If that method requires a label, print the label and return authorization shown in the return flow. Some eligible returns instead use a QR code at a label-free, box-free drop-off location, so you may not need a printer.
How to print an Amazon return label

Sign in to Amazon and open Your Orders.

Find the order and item you want to return, then select the return option.

Choose the reason for the return. If Amazon offers a refund or replacement choice, select the one you want.

Review the return methods available for that specific order and choose one. Carrier, drop-off location, packaging requirements, and whether you need a printable label can vary by item, seller, and return reason. Amazon’s return instructions show the method options in the return flow.

If your selected method requires a label, print the return label and return authorization provided by Amazon. Follow any instructions about where to place them.

Package the item as directed and attach the label. Keep each return separate: Amazon assigns a label to a specific return and advises against combining items from different orders or shipments in one box.

Use the carrier or drop-off option named in the instructions, and send the package by the return-by date shown in your order or confirmation. Keep the tracking details and return confirmation until the refund or replacement is processed.
Where to find the label in Your Orders
The label appears as part of the return flow after you select the item, enter a reason, and choose a return method that requires one. If you have already started the return, reopen the order in Your Orders and check its return details for the selected method and label instructions. The exact available options are order-specific; there is not one universal label format or carrier for every Amazon return.

Can you return an Amazon item without a printer?
Sometimes. For eligible items and locations, Amazon offers a label-free, box-free return using a QR code. Choose that option and an available location during the return flow. Amazon provides a QR code to show at the selected drop-off point; you do not need to print a shipping label or package the item in a shipping box for this method. Whole Foods Market’s instructions also describe showing the Amazon QR code at a selected location, where staff handle packing, labeling, and shipping. Availability depends on the item and location. Check Whole Foods Market’s return instructions if that is the location Amazon offers.
Why Amazon may show a QR code instead of a printable label
A QR code is the return credential for a label-free option, not a label that you need to print yourself. If Amazon offers this method for your item and a nearby location, follow the return flow and bring the code to that selected location. If you need to ship the item or prefer another method, use only the alternatives Amazon displays for that return; do not substitute a label or QR code from a different return.

What to do if you cannot find or print the label

Return to Your Orders and check the item’s return status and the method you selected. A label may not be required if the chosen option uses a QR code.

If the return requires a label but you cannot access or print it, contact Amazon Customer Service or the seller through the return flow for instructions. Do not use an unrelated label or create a QR code yourself.

For an Amazon device return, Amazon’s device-return FAQ directs customers to the Online Return Center or Customer Support for help. It instructs customers to print the mailing label, attach it to the securely wrapped package, and use a drop-off point for the shipper indicated on the label. It also calls for trackable shipping.
Deadlines, eligibility, and possible return charges
Amazon’s general policy says most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, but exceptions apply. Check the item’s detail page, order history, and the return-by date in your confirmation or order details rather than assuming every item has the same deadline. Amazon’s return policy also describes possible return-shipping charges when you choose a non-free method, for heavy or bulky items, or in cases of an unusually high return rate; late or damage fees may also apply. The return screen and current policy are the best guides to any charge for your return.
Third-party seller orders
A return for an item sold by a third-party seller may go to the seller rather than Amazon. Amazon’s policy says sellers must offer an eligible return arrangement, such as a U.S. return address, a prepaid label, or a full refund without requiring the item to be returned. Follow the instructions associated with your specific order and seller.
Can one label cover multiple Amazon returns?
No. Use the label assigned to the specific return and keep returns from different orders or shipments in separate packages. Amazon warns that combining them can interfere with processing.
