Some Verizon customers have reported targeted offers for $20 off each active phone line per month for 12 months. It is not a guaranteed discount or a confirmed current promotion: reported offers vary, and some customers receive no offer at all. If one appears on your account, verify its terms with Verizon before counting on the savings.
What the reported Verizon discount is
Customer reports describe discounts of $10 to $20 per active phone line per month, with some offers lasting 12 months. The $20 amount and one-year term are reported offer terms, not a standard benefit available to every Verizon customer. Droid Life reported on the offers on June 6, 2025, and a Slickdeals user post dated August 19, 2025, reproduced a message describing a $20 monthly discount for each active line for 12 months. Availability and terms may have changed since those reports.
The message reproduced by the Slickdeals poster instructed the customer to call *611 to activate the offer. That is an individual customer post, not an independently authenticated Verizon promotion or a guarantee that the same offer is available to other accounts.
How to check for an account-specific offer
- Sign in to your Verizon account and look for the number-transfer PIN section. Droid Life reported that some customers encountered offers after entering that flow; simply visiting it is not a guaranteed trigger.
- Check your account for offers or messages. Customer reports describe offers appearing in the app or through contact with support, but availability differs.
- If an offer appears, follow the instructions shown for your account. Some reports say to call *611 or contact support. Do not start a number transfer unless you actually intend to switch carriers.
- Before accepting, ask Verizon to confirm the eligible lines, monthly credit, duration, activation steps, and any plan or account conditions that apply to your offer.
Why the offer may not appear or match expectations
Customer experiences are mixed: some report an offer, some report different discount amounts, and others say no offer appeared or that a representative was needed. Forum reports also describe credits changing or not appearing as expected. The available reports do not establish official eligibility rules, plan restrictions, deadlines, or a guarantee that any account will receive the full 12 months.

Keep a copy or screenshot of the offer and any confirmation from Verizon. After activation, review a bill to make sure the credit and eligible lines match what Verizon confirmed. If the credit is missing or incorrect, contact Verizon and refer to the written offer and activation confirmation.
Check whether staying still makes financial sense
Compare your actual bill with the credit applied—not an offer you have not received—and consider what the bill will be after the discount ends. Also weigh the number of eligible lines, the plan features and coverage you rely on, and any device or account obligations against the alternatives available to you. A temporary line discount can reduce costs for a year, but it does not by itself show whether keeping the account is the best longer-term choice.
