Verizon advertised a Pixel 10 Pro “on us” offer on August 20, 2025, for new and existing customers who traded in an eligible-brand phone and used Unlimited Ultimate. The offer worked through monthly bill credits over 36 months—not an unconditional upfront waiver. Verizon’s announcement is historical; it does not establish that the promotion is available on October 8, 2026. Check the terms shown in your current Verizon checkout before making a purchase or changing service.
What Verizon’s Pixel 10 Pro offer said
In its August 20, 2025 announcement, Verizon said new and existing customers could get a Pixel 10 Pro “on us” by trading in a Google, Apple, Motorola, or Samsung phone “in any condition” and having Unlimited Ultimate. The offer fine print grouped the Pixel 10 Pro 128 GB, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold 256 GB under an advertised value of up to $1,799.99, subject to the offer’s qualifying-line, plan, and promotional conditions. Verizon described a 36-month commitment, with promotional credits ending if eligibility requirements were no longer met. Read Verizon’s August 20, 2025 announcement.
Those are the published launch terms, not confirmation of a live offer or its terms today. The announcement does not establish current availability, which customers or configurations qualify now, or the exact credit schedule in a present-day checkout.
How “free” works when the price is credited monthly
Verizon explains that a free or discounted device promotion applies monthly account credits to offset the cost of a qualifying device. The full advertised value is not necessarily provided upfront: the effective device cost depends on receiving the required credits throughout the promotional term. Verizon says credits may take one to two billing periods to appear, and the account must be current. See Verizon’s device-deals FAQ.

Because Verizon’s launch offer used a 36-month term, leaving the qualifying arrangement early could mean losing future credits. Before signing, check what the current terms say about changing plans, canceling or moving a line, and any remaining device-payment balance; do not assume an advertised credit will continue if eligibility ends.
Trade-in rules depend on the specific promotion
The 2025 launch announcement said the listed Google, Apple, Motorola, and Samsung phones could be traded in “in any condition” for that offer. Verizon’s general trade-in guidance also describes promotions that may require a phone to be in good working and cosmetic condition. It notes that certain existing-customer offers require a trade-in phone to have been active on a Verizon account for 60 consecutive days. Those general rules are not substitutes for the specific promotion terms: confirm the eligible brands and models, condition standard, and any account-activity requirement shown for the offer you are claiming. What to verify in Verizon checkout
Before deciding whether the deal saves you money, review the actual offer attached to the device and line in your account or checkout. Confirm each of these terms rather than relying on the 2025 announcement:
- Availability and eligibility: whether the offer is active and whether it applies to a new line, an upgrade, or both.
- Plan requirement: the required plan and whether your selected line must keep it for the full credit term.
- Trade-in: accepted brands and models, condition rules, and any requirement that the phone have been active on a Verizon account.
- Device configuration: the precise Pixel model and storage capacity covered.
- Credits and duration: the total credit amount, how it is applied, how long it runs, and when credits can stop.
- Early changes: what happens to future credits and any unpaid device balance if you change plans, cancel, or otherwise stop qualifying.
Compare the ongoing cost of the required plan as well as the device credits. A large advertised device value alone does not show whether the arrangement costs less for your needs, particularly if you would not otherwise choose the required plan.

Bottom line on the offer
Verizon’s August 20, 2025 announcement documented a trade-in-and-Unlimited-Ultimate offer with credits over 36 months for specified Pixel configurations. It does not prove that the offer remains available or that those terms apply in October 2026. Treat “free” as conditional on receiving the required credits, and use the current checkout terms—not the launch announcement—to decide whether you qualify and what the deal will cost.
