The reported $440 off Galaxy S25 Ultra with no trade-in was a March 2025 offer on Samsung’s unlocked 1TB model—not a verified April deal. The available dated sources do not establish that the discount remained live in April. Carrier offers could advertise larger savings or freebies, but they came with conditions such as a qualifying trade-in, plan, or new line.
Was the $440 Galaxy S25 Ultra deal available in April 2025?
It is not established by the available dated sources. 9to5Google reported the $440 no-trade-in discount on Samsung’s unlocked 1TB Galaxy S25 Ultra on March 14, 2025, describing a combination of instant savings and a free double-storage promotion. A separate March 6 report described the same amount during Samsung’s Discover Samsung sale. Neither report verifies that the offer continued into April.
That distinction matters if you are comparing an April purchase with a headline found in a March article: a past promotion is not evidence of a current price. The starting MSRP Samsung announced for the Galaxy S25 Ultra was $1,299.99, with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configurations. The reported $440 reduction applied to the unlocked 1TB configuration, not necessarily every storage size. 9to5Google’s March 14 report and Samsung’s 2025 launch announcement provide the dated deal and launch baseline.
How the carrier offers compared
Carrier promotions should not be read as equivalent to an immediate unlocked-phone discount. Their headline value may depend on eligibility, ongoing service, and credits applied over time.

| Offer | What was stated | Key condition |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung unlocked Ultra | $440 off the 1TB model, reported March 14, 2025 | No trade-in was required for the reported March promotion; April availability is not established. 9to5Google |
| Verizon Ultra offer | Up to $1,000 off the Galaxy S25 Ultra | Verizon’s launch announcement tied the maximum discount to a select trade-in and Unlimited Ultimate. Verizon |
| Verizon phone payment offer | No-trade-in monthly-payment offer | Required a new line on Unlimited Ultimate, according to Verizon’s launch announcement. Verizon |
| Verizon add-on devices | Galaxy Watch7 or Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G described as “on us” | Service plans were required for the watch or tablet; the announcement does not make these unconditional freebies. Verizon |
| AT&T plan discount | 25% off certain unlimited plans for eligible military members, veterans, teachers, nurses, and families | This was a plan discount, subject to the stated multi-line pricing conditions—not an S25 device discount. AT&T |
Verizon’s figures come from its Galaxy S25 launch announcement and describe launch terms, not a confirmed April 2025 offer ledger. AT&T’s announcement also says offers vary by device and restrictions may apply. AT&T’s launch announcement is the relevant source for its plan offer.
What to check before valuing a carrier deal
- Trade-in eligibility: Confirm whether a trade-in is required and which devices qualify; “up to” savings may require a particular model or condition.
- Plan and line requirements: Check the exact plan tier and whether you must add a new line. A more expensive plan can reduce the real value of a phone discount.
- How savings are paid: Separate an immediate price reduction from monthly bill credits. Credits may require keeping eligible service for the specified period.
- Extra charges: Include taxes, activation charges, and any service charges for a bundled watch or tablet when comparing total cost.
- Date of the terms: Make sure the offer page or announcement applies to the month you are evaluating. Later indexed offer pages cannot verify what was available in April 2025.
Carrier and manufacturer offer pages change over time. The currently indexed T-Mobile offer listing, AT&T deals page, and Samsung offers page provide later offer context, not proof of April 2025 terms.
