Not in any meaningful financial sense. In June 2013, a PayPal statement associated with Pennsylvania resident Chris Reynolds displayed $92,233,720,368,547,800. When Reynolds logged in, the account balance was $0. PayPal said the figure was an error; the available reporting does not establish how it appeared.

What happened to Chris Reynolds’s PayPal account?

Reynolds noticed the extraordinary figure in a monthly email statement. Contemporary reports published on July 17, 2013, say that when he logged in, the supposed credit was gone and his balance showed $0. IT Pro and the Los Angeles Times both reported the mismatch between the statement and the account balance.

Guinness World Records dates the incident to June 2013 and records the amount as the largest accidental banking credit. Its entry says the error was rectified moments later, but does not explain the technical cause. Guinness World Records

Was Reynolds really a quadrillionaire?

No. The number was a displayed amount, not evidence of money Reynolds received or could spend. The account balance he saw after logging in was $0, according to the contemporary coverage. Calling him a “quadrillionaire” captures the scale of the statement figure, but overstates what happened to his finances.
