Pepe Unchained’s $40 Million Presale Claim: Whale Buys and Listing Rumors, Explained

The November 2024 $40 million PEPU presale figure and whale buys were media-reported, not independently verified. Listing rumors did not amount to a named top-exchange commitment.

In November 2024, crypto news outlets reported that Pepe Unchained’s PEPU presale had passed $40 million and that large-wallet purchases were drawing attention. Those were reported figures, not independently audited results. The same coverage discussed a possible “tier-1” listing, but did not establish that Binance, Coinbase, or another named top exchange had committed to list PEPU.

That is a historical snapshot, not a current presale update: later sources document PEPU markets and a token-contract migration. Anyone checking the token now should verify its current contract and trading availability through current official and market sources.

What did reports say about the $40 million presale?

On November 20, 2024, InsideBitcoins reported that Pepe Unchained’s presale had passed $40 million. It also reported average contributions of $1.6 million per day during the preceding week. These are figures reported by a crypto publication about a promotional token presale; the sources available here do not independently verify the total or reconcile it against an audit. InsideBitcoins’ November 20, 2024 report also disclosed an affiliate relationship and said it was not investment or trading advice.

Cryptopolitan likewise covered a $40 million milestone in a November 24, 2024 article. Repetition of the figure across reports is not the same as independent confirmation of funds raised. Cryptopolitan’s November 24, 2024 article framed the milestone alongside listing expectations and reported large purchases.

What did the whale-purchase reports establish?

InsideBitcoins reported an approximately $230,000 purchase by a large wallet. Cryptopolitan described transactions of approximately $100,000 and $220,000. These are media-reported transaction amounts; the sources do not establish who controlled the wallets, why the purchases were made, or whether the buyers were acting independently. Nor do large purchases by themselves show that a token is likely to rise in value.

InsideBitcoins used “whale” to describe a large holder or buyer, but the label does not supply identity or intent. No on-chain reconciliation of the reported purchases is established in the cited coverage. Cryptopolitan’s report and InsideBitcoins’ report should therefore be read as contemporary news accounts, not proof of investor conviction or a price signal.

Was a “tier-1” exchange listing confirmed?

No named tier-1 exchange commitment is established by the November 2024 reports. “Tier-1” was promotional, underspecified language in that coverage; it is not a uniform or regulated exchange classification. The reviewed sources do not show Binance or Coinbase announcing a PEPU listing, or a verifiable commitment from either exchange tied to the presale milestone.

A later SuperEx announcement documents a PEPU listing announcement on that exchange. SuperEx’s announcement is evidence about SuperEx specifically, not evidence of a Binance or Coinbase listing.

Is PEPU still in presale, and where is it traded?

The $40 million claim belongs to November 2024; it should not be presented as a current presale tally. Later market documentation lists PEPU trading markets, including LBank and Uniswap. CoinGecko’s market page is a changing snapshot, so check the page directly for current venues and pairs rather than relying on a past article. CoinGecko’s PEPU page lists markets and notes a migration from the old token contract to a new one.

Market availability, pairs, liquidity, and exchange access can change. A venue appearing in market data does not imply that it is available in every jurisdiction, that a particular pair is liquid, or that a listing is endorsed by the project. Check the venue’s current details and eligibility rules before attempting a trade.

What should you verify before interacting with PEPU?

Because the token migrated contracts, do not copy an address from an old article, search result, or saved transaction without checking it. Pepe Unchained’s ecosystem overview and CoinGecko’s token page are relevant starting points, but confirm the current contract through current official project channels before sending funds or adding a token to a wallet.

  • Confirm the contract address against current official project information; migration means an older address may no longer identify the current token.
  • Check the precise PEPU trading pair, venue, jurisdictional eligibility, fees, and current liquidity before acting.
  • Use a wallet only if you understand how to manage its recovery phrase. The project’s beginner guide warns: “Make sure to save your recovery phrase somewhere safe and never share it – it gives full access to your wallet!” Pepe Unchained’s guide describes PEPU as the network’s native token and gives wallet guidance.
