What the ranking includes
This is a ranking of players bought at auction, not a list of every player’s reported squad value or contract amount. The league separates roster entries into “Bought,” “Retained,” and “Direct signing.” Steve Smith, for example, was a direct signing for Sialkot Stallionz at PKR 14 crore; that figure is not an auction sale price and does not place him in this ranking.

How the auction shaped the squads
The first HBL PSL player auction was held in Lahore on 11 February 2026. The league said 103 players were sold and the eight franchises had 141 players across their rosters. Those totals cover the completed squads, including categories beyond auction purchases.
