Is the PNB 2,700 apprentice application still open?
No. PNB’s official recruitment archive records July 14, 2024 as the end date for the 2024 apprentice notice. Times of India’s contemporaneous coverage also reported that deadline and the 2,700-position intake. The application period has ended, so the old headline does not provide a live opportunity or an active apply link.

What the 2024 notice reported
The 2,700 posts were for PNB’s 2024 apprentice intake. According to Times of India’s July 14, 2024 report, the online written examination was scheduled for July 28, 2024. The same report described the following eligibility details for that intake:
- Age: 20 to 28 years as of June 30, 2024, with applicable relaxation for reserved categories.
- Education: A graduate degree in any discipline from an institution recognized or approved by the relevant government bodies, AICTE or UGC.
- Language: Local-language proficiency was reported as a requirement.
These are reported details of the expired 2024 intake, not eligibility rules for any future PNB recruitment. Consult the applicable official notice for exact wording and conditions if a new vacancy is announced.
How the later PNB apprentice notice differs
PNB subsequently published an apprentice engagement notice for FY 2025–26. Its official archive lists the notice as published on February 6, 2026, and archived on April 30, 2026; the archive also lists an online assessment notice dated March 6 and a provisional shortlist dated March 27, 2026. This later intake is not the 2024, 2,700-post recruitment.
A copy of the FY 2025–26 notification hosted by HKRN Recruitment identifies 5,138 seats and describes applications through PNB’s recruitment page leading to the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India application portal. The seat count comes from that third-party-hosted copy; the official archive independently confirms the later notice exists and is archived. Neither record makes the old application link current.
