Norse Atlantic Airways’ baggage and add-on costs depend on your fare and itinerary. Economy includes a small personal item, but a larger cabin bag, checked luggage, seat selection and meals may involve extra charges. Norse’s current fee amounts were not available in the official information reviewed here, so check the price shown for your specific booking before you pay or travel.
1. Check the personal-item and cabin-bag limits separately
Norse Atlantic’s Help Center lists different size allowances for a personal item and a cabin bag. For Economy, the personal item must measure no more than 40 × 30 × 15 cm (15.5 × 11.5 × 5.5 in) and fit under the seat. The search result did not state a personal-item weight limit. Economy’s cabin bag may measure up to 56 × 45 × 25 cm (22 × 18 × 10 in) and weigh no more than 10 kg (22 lb). Premium’s listed personal-item limit is 45 × 36 × 22 cm; check your ticket for the other allowances that apply to your fare.
These figures come from Norse Atlantic Airways’ Help Center, which does not show a publication year in the surfaced page. Allowances can change, so confirm them against your booking and Norse’s baggage information. Measure the packed bag on the outside, including wheels and handles; a bag that fits when empty may exceed the limit once packed.
What to check before packing
- Confirm whether your ticket includes a cabin bag in addition to the personal item.
- Measure each bag against its own limit; the personal-item allowance is not interchangeable with the cabin-bag allowance.
- Weigh the cabin bag if you plan to use the Economy allowance, which has a 10 kg maximum.
2. Checked baggage may be included, but the price is itinerary-specific
Norse says checked baggage may be included depending on the fare; otherwise, it can be bought for an optional fee. Its Conditions of Carriage, dated 13 February 2023, likewise state that baggage allowance depends on the ticket purchased. The contract explains the fare-dependent rule; it is not a current price list.

The official information reviewed here did not provide a usable current checked-bag price table. Do not rely on a single price quoted elsewhere as a universal Norse fee: the amount for your trip needs to be checked against your route, travel date, booking channel and itinerary. Review the baggage allowance and any add-on prices in your booking, or consult Norse’s checked-baggage information before deciding whether to add a bag.
Compare the full cost, not just the fare
Before choosing a fare or adding baggage, compare what your ticket includes with what you actually need: personal item, cabin bag, checked-bag pieces and weight, seat selection and meals. Then compare the current price to add each extra for your itinerary. The available official information does not establish that a bundle is cheaper; that depends on the live quote and the services you would otherwise buy.

3. Overweight, bulky and extra bags can mean additional charges
Norse’s Help Center says excess checked-bag weight is assessed in 1 kg (2 lb) increments. It also says an additional piece may incur a charge at the airport. The amount of those charges was not shown in the official results reviewed here. Check the current terms for your booking rather than assuming that the same fee applies across routes or booking stages.
The Help Center describes checked baggage exceeding 158 cm in total dimensions as bulky and refers to a 23 kg limit before excess charges. For sports equipment, the surfaced information lists limits of 23 kg and 250 × 79 × 112 cm, with fees set out in the optional service schedule. Check Norse’s current special-baggage information before taking bulky items or sports equipment to the airport.

4. Seat selection and meals are fare-dependent extras
Norse offers seat selection, but the official information reviewed here did not show current seat prices. Its Help Center advises families who have not reserved seats to check in as early as possible to improve the chance of sitting together. That is not a guarantee of adjacent seats; if sitting together is important, check the available seat options and price before deciding whether to reserve them.
Meal service is available on Norse transatlantic routes, but whether meals are included depends on the fare type. Current meal prices were not visible in the official results reviewed here. Check the details for your flight and fare in your booking, and consult Norse’s onboard-meals information if you need to know what is available.

5. Changes can affect both the ticket and your add-ons
Norse’s flight-change FAQ says a change fee applies per passenger per flight, and you may also owe any difference between the original fare and the new one. Ancillary services must be added again after rebooking. The available official information did not show current change-fee amounts, so review the terms and price shown for your booking before confirming a change.
After a rebooking, check the new itinerary for baggage, seats and any other extras you had selected. Norse’s flight-change information explains its change process; the baggage information and your updated booking can help you verify what is attached to the new flight.
