McBrain’s equipment history is another part of his professional background, not evidence of personal wealth. Metal Hammer reported on September 13, 2026, that McBrain stepped away from Iron Maiden’s touring lineup in December 2024 after health issues. The report said he remained interested in recording again if the songs were simpler to play.
